As Bobby Goren pulled out of the parking lot at Carmel Ridge, he was filled with foreboding as he thought back over his visit with his mom.

"Please Bobby, find your brother, I want to see him"

To his way of thinking the request meant, she was accepting the doctor's prognosis, she felt she was dying and wanted to see her oldest son one last time.

For Bobby it meant seeing the son his father had always preferred, the chip off the old block, another of his one-time heroes that he couldn't bear the sight of because of their feet of clay. But as his mother's dutiful son, he would find his older brother and bring him to their mother's bedside, no matter what it cost him.
