Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh!
I found this article about fanfics…it's very interesting and might get you a lot of money (if your luky!)
http://online. you ever noticed that whenever you say, 'it can't get any worse than this', it does? Then you think 'why me?' or just simply 'damn'. And by the end of the day when things start to settle down, something big happens. Like, finding out that you just won over a million dollars by buying a winning lotto ticket, then finding out that all you've really won was a couple of bucks.
Yeah, that's how Joey's day went, with the exception of the winning lotto ticket. Instead, he got a quiz that he felt ready for. He felt confident in all of his answers and felt like this might be the first test he was going to do well on. He planned on passing it and then showing how smart he was to his friends when they got their scores back. He was going to brag for weeks about his brilliance. Maybe people would then begin to respect Joey Wheeler, Quiz Taker Extraordinaire! Only problem was, he failed the test miserably.
"Some 'Quiz Taker Extraordinaire' I am," Joey said with a heavy sigh. It was after school and he awaited his friends' arrival by the school sign. It was a wonderful day outside. The sun was shinning, the birds were singing, and he couldn't wait to get out of that uniform! The damn thing was so itchy! Not to mention the little tag in the back kept sticking up.
"Hey, there's Joey," Tea Gardner said to her friends. Yugi Moto walked next to her and a glum Tristan Taylor was slouching behind them. That stupid look on Tristan's face was something that Joey was used to seeing when he bombed a test too. It was kind of like the look you get when forced to watch Quilting with Nancy with your grandmother, knowing that everyone else is probably playing video games in their own home.
"How did you do on that quiz?" Yugi had the million dollar question, didn't he?
"I failed," It was blunt reply but it worked.
Tea snickered, taking that opportunity to brag, "I got 95 the highest grade in class."
Then Yugi followed suit, "I got an 88 I missed number 14."
Tristan said nothing. He just stood there with that sullen expression. The rest watched him, as if seeing how long he would go until he cracked. It took a little nudging from Tea before he broke down and confessed.
"I failed! Ok?" Tristan threw him arms in the air, which just made him look dumber. Joey had to laugh. Not a good move, Tristan just got angry, "What? It's not like you did any better than me lead-for-brains!"
"Oh yeah?" Joey replied, "I bet that I can get a better grade than you on the next test!"
"Fine, I accept your challenge! What do you want to bet?"
Joey smiled; he knew Tristan would fall for a bet, "If I win, you get to do my after school clean up duties for the rest of the year. If you win, I'll do your after school clean up duties for the rest of the year."
"Fine. You got yourself a deal!" They shook hands, like signing a contract.
"Then why don't we split into teams?" Yugi suggested. Joey and Tristan exchanged glances of confusion. Tea must have gotten the idea, though.
"You guys will need study buddies, right? So we'll split into teams. Both of you can pick either Yugi or I to study with."
