"Ok, Darkrai, where did you terrorize this time?"

The nightmare pokemon continued to tend to the tree he was facing for a couple more seconds before turning to his counterpart with a smile.

"Good morning, Cresselia. What do you mean?"

"Don't give me that. I could feel your joy all the way from Fullmoon Island and you don't do joy. Where do I have to clean up?"

"You can't bring me down today, Cressy. Look!" Darkrai turned back around and threw his arms up towards the tree.

"Darkrai, that's a tree."

"It's not just any tree. My Apicot tree is finally ripe!" Darkrai bounded over to a low hanging branch and picked two of the fresh berries with glee.

"You mean to tell me you're excited.. because of fruit.." Cresselia held a look of utter incredulity.

"It's only the best fruit ever!" Darkrai gave one of the berries to Cresselia while taking a bite of his own.

Cresselia stared at the fruit in her paws for a couple seconds before asking, "So why do I get one of your favorite berries?"

"It's for the road." Grinning widely, Darkrai pointed with his free hand. "Small village, seventy-three miles that direction. Enjoy your flight!"

Cresselia could only sputter and look back and forth from Darkrai to where he was pointing.

"But.. you.. I.. you just.." and with a screech of utter fury, "Graaaaaaah!" she took off over the horizon in the direction he pointed.

With a chuckle he leaned back against the tree and enjoyed the rest of his Apicot.

"Doing my job, having a berry, pestering Cressy.." Darkrai smirked. "Best day ever."
