Lyrics taken from Sophie Holt's song, "Dream". Though I haven't watched or played any Hamtaro games for so long, I'm sure Snoozer is quite the dreamer. :)
Enjoy!
Snoozer is quite the sleeper, so he must be one of those constant dreamers, right?
Wrong. Well, that statement isn't entirely true, but it wasn't exactly false either.
Sometimes he wouldn't dream of anything. It would be one of those dreamless spells in which the only thing he would remember is drifting to sleep and then waking up.
However, whether Snoozer dreamed or not, a female voice would often sing to him – a calm, serene, lullaby-like voice; it was a voice that would certainly lure its listeners into a dreamy-like state. The voice repeatedly sang the same song, asking about his dreams - what he's doing, where he's going, and if he's content.
He didn't mind the constant singing. It strongly reminded him of events from the past… which brings him to what he would dream of.
In a frequently reoccurring dream of his, Snoozer was in a cage. A cage big enough for him, a wheel to run on, a little house of his own, and a sock he could sleep in – surely this was a hamster cage, he assumed.
From what he could see beyond the clean white cage, a woman held a guitar in her hands and sang. She sat on the edge of a bed, close to the location of this cage he was in. She sang, she played her chords, and, after hearing the same melody for so many times, he knew the song was one he'd heard so long ago. Such a beautiful song, he thought, a song that he'd love to fall asleep to yet stay up to hear her play it.
dream, dream, dream,
whatcha doin' in your dream, dream, dream?
where ya goin' in your dream, dream, dream?
will ya love it in your dream?
She stopped midway and glanced at Snoozer's direction. Her brown hair flipped away from her face when she turned to look at him, and the sun cast a glare off of her glasses for a split second.
"Ooh, Snoozer! You're finally awake!"
She placed the guitar softly on her bed and scooted towards him, smiling as she watched him stretch and yawn.
"…so cute, Snoozer," she lightly chuckled. Her hand stretched to open the cage-
and the dream would end there. Sometimes he'd wake up right after, just in time to give the ham-hams much-needed advice, or sometimes everything would go blank after that – he'd be greeted with a black or white screen.
After having that dream a countless number of times, he was sure that that woman was someone that he'd seen many years ago. At the very most, maybe his last owner. At the very least… he didn't even know. That environment seemed to close to him – he must've lived there before, and yet he only knew the ham-hams, the clubhouse, his trusty sock, and that specific reoccurring dream.
Snoozer snored lightly, and Hamtaro and Bijou quietly laughed.
They often wondered what Snoozer dreamed about, for he was always sleeping.
Snoozer dreamed of the woman singing and strumming for her guitar. and in one of the rare moments he was awake, he'd wondered why the dream would stop at that certain point.
but at this point, he didn't know – it's as if he'll never know, he half-heartedly concluded, always hoping for an answer to leap at him.
So Snoozer would fall asleep and hope for a dream. Not exactly the right place to search for answers, but, as a dreamer, that's all he could and would do – dream.
AN: Not as short as I wanted it to be, but I do hope that this has done Snoozer some justice.
