I see a reflection, Of the girl I used to be, But never to my recollection , Can I see how she could be me, She thought she was perfect, Did everything right, Maybe it all was worth it, But then.she saw the shining light, In the garden by a cherry blossom tree, The perfect boy stood there, Looking perfect as one can be, With petals dancing on his hair, She thought maybe he was meant for me, But not because of whom he was, That meant nothing to me, But just because, He made her feel like she was free, No more hiding behind a masquerade, Working so hard to please, No more dancing in this false parade, All of this she thought. has to leave, I admit I had been fooling everyone, Putting on a show, But I wanted acceptance from anyone, Maybe to see how far fame would go, If her heart was in the right place , Which I thought mine was, Could she hold on to him by one thread of lace, Just because, They both were cherry blossoms Falling from the same tree.
