The forest of death. That was her first thought when she looked around. I just watched this arch not too long ago. She thought to herself. Was she lucid dreaming again?
Trees flew past her and she cringed. Everything around her was moving but her feet were planted on the floor. Then Orochimaru was there in front of her; his pale white face just as she remembered it. Across from him, the Uchiha and pink konnichi he never truly cared about.
She didn't remember processing the thought. But somewhere in the middle of the action she was walking in between the fight. Her legs were not under her control. She was dreaming, this wasn't lucid. It was the only explanation but everything was just too clear to be just a dream.
Her right arm extended and she watched it morph into a blade that stopped at her elbow.
Orochimaru's eyes narrowed at her. "A runner." He concluded. This girl was basically chakra-less. Someone with her lack of physical training shouldn't be able to do that.
She stood in a defensive stance towards Orochimaru. The Uchiha stood there, motionless, as if he too was unable to control his actions. Orochimaru smirked, his tongue swept his lis. "You're in the way," and then he went for her.
Chi heard the sound of birds and her eyelids fluttered open. She saw white when suddenly it was like a shutter snapped and when it opened again the scenery changed. She turned towards the sound and saw Sasuke performing the Chidori.
She turned to her right to see Kakashi standing next to her. He was taking in her appearance slowly as if determining if she were a threat or not.
"Chidori!" Sasuke yelled as he attacked the boulder in front of him.
"It's the fastest way to the heart," her voice said. But she didn't remember telling her brain to think that.
Kakashi's eyes widened, but she didn't really notice. She was too busy taking in the surprised look of the young Uchiha.
His eyebrows furrowed. He watched her die. Orochimaru killed her, he confirmed her death himself. But here she was, her long dark hair like a protective cloak around her and her piercing blue eyes.
"They call me Chi," her lips moved and words poured out. "But you already know that."
Sasuke cocked his head at her. What was this girl playing. "You died."
"Then kill me again." The voice was darker, deeper, commanding. Chi didn't recognize it but her mouth moved with the sounds.
"Sasuke wait," Kakashi started. But it was too late. Sasuke's body was reacting on his own. Chakra was flowing into his right arm and the next thing he knew it disappeared, straight into her chest.
