"Brother, where do you think we are..?" The slightly metallic voice came from Alphonse Elric was he followed his older brother through the rundown city where there seemed to be no life at all. Maybe an occasional rat scurrying out along the rode. Nothing else. No humans. No birds. No nothing.

"I don't now Al," the annoyed Edward Elric responded, shoving his hands into the pockets of his red trench coat. "But this place… It seems really… Creepy. I was figuring we'd run into at least one person here."

"Hey! Get that animal! Get it before it gets away!" A mans' voice shouted, and rushing down the street right in the direction of Ed and Al, was a long legged, snowy white wolf. Its golden orbs burned with pure hatred towards the people following him and his paws hit the ground with a click every time his claws hit the ground. His ears flickered backwards to pin themselves back against his skull, lip curling back to reveal his fangs for a moment before he made his strides stronger. He needed to get away. Needed to run. Unlike before. When he always seemed to fight these people, he needed to run now.

"Brother, look!" Al said, raising his metal hand to point at the sudden appearance of the animal running towards them and the small group of four men following it. "A dog! And some people!"

"Yeah, I see 'em Al. Maybe there is some life in this town after all if they're chasin' a dog. Dog catchers must be." Ed said.

"But… Brother. They have guns. I never knew they used guns to catch dogs..?" Al was clearly confused.

The wolf zipped right past the two, snapping at Edward's legs, which caused him to jump to the side to he didn't have to run around the teenager. The wolf snarled angrily before he rounded a corner up at the end of the street and vanished as the men following them came to a stop, panting, out of breath.

"Damn… Them creatures are harder to catch than I thought…" The first man grunted, pushing himself into a fully standing position to come face-to-face, well, not face-to-face, but head-to-face with the blonde, Edward. "Eh? Whadd'ya want, kid?" He asked.

Ed stood there for a moment, taking in what the guy had said before that annoyed, pissed off look came over his face. "I AM NOT A KID YOU MORON!" His hands were clenched up into fists and his brother had to hold him back as he squirmed around in his grasp, trying to attack the guy.

"Brother, please." Al sighed before he looked at the guy who spoke. "We were just walking around, sir. We aren't here to cause any trouble."

"Well, now. If you're just passing through, think you can help us?" The guy asked.

"Help you with what?" The defeated blonde growled as Al set him down, glaring at the guy.

"Help us catch a pack of dogs."

"As long as we don't have to use guns!" Al said quickly.

"Oh, don't worry. You don't have to use guns." The guy responded.

"What's in it for us…?" Ed asked.

"You'll see when the job is finished."

"Brother… Should we help them?" Al asked, turning to face his brother.

"I don't know Al. But that damn animal did try to attack me…" Ed's hand curled up into a fist. "Yeah! We'll help you!"

"Excellent. Follow us."
