Over And Over
She met him at the door to the elevator. Neither one said a word. They knew how the night would continue. There were no need for words on nights like that. They rode the elevator down to the parking lot and got into their cars. Some nights they drove in silence. Other nights they would talk on their phones, desperate to hear each other's voices, to keep their contact with each other.
When they arrived at his house, he made her dinner. They ate silently, staring into each other's eyes. Their desire mounted, but was held in check by force of will. He led the way to his bedroom, which had seen more use recently, once she had embedded herself in his personal life as well as the professional side.
Everything took on a shadowy, dreamlike quality as he laid her down across the bed, just like it always did when they entered the room they shared in his house. He was her one real thing. He made time stand still for her.
The first time they had been together, she knew he was the one. She had been in love with him since the first time they worked together aboard Air Force One. He was attractive, arrogant, amusing, and irritating, and above all a bastard. But he caused her heart to flutter in a way no one else had. She had prayed that one day she would feel like that one day, but it was a surprise that it happened then. He touched something inside her that had never been touched before.
He kissed her gently in each bared spot of skin, as he removed her shirt and skirt, then the rest of her clothing. She tugged at his shirt and belt, forcing him to pause long enough to strip them off. The sight of him over her, naked, with hunger and love shining in his eyes, made love swell in her heart.
No matter how many times they came together, how many nights they spent wrapped in each other's arms, it would never be enough for him or her. And no matter how many times they were together, they never wanted it to end.
