A/N: Kay, so this will (hopefully) be a multi-chapter thing. Some songfics some not. These are my first songfics ever. Deals with GSR before and after Sara leaves. First ones a country song- She Thinks She needs Me by Andy Griggs. However, I didn't use the entire song, I left out the last part. From Grissom's POV. Enjoy!

CSI: CSI: CSI: CSI: CST: CSI:

My One and Only

She thinks I walk on water
she thinks I hung the moon
she tells me every morning
they just don't make men like you
she thinks I've got it together
she swears I'm as tough as nails
but I don't have the heart to tell her
that she don't know me that well

Gil's eyes drank in the figure snuggled next to him. He could tell she was in deep sleep, and she looked like an angel settled there on his shoulder. He couldn't comprehend how a beautiful, intelligent woman like her could end up with an old, gray-haired entomologist. It baffled him. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that he had her. He began to twist a strand of her hair around his finger lovingly as he clung a little tighter to her.

She don't know how much I need her
she don't know I'd fall apart
without her kiss
without her touch
without her faithful loving arms
she don't know that its all about her
she don't know I cant live without her
she's my world she's my everything
and she thinks she needs me

He couldn't imagine a life without her. She was his everything. Without her seeing her everyday he knew he'd go mad. Working one shift was bad enough. He studied the delicate lines of her face and couldn't bring himself to think about the brutal misery a life without her would bring. He had never felt this way for anyone before.

Sometimes she cries on my shoulder
when she's lying next to me
but she don't know that when I hold her
that she's really holding me
holding me

He caught site of a thin scare on the side of her face, and couldn't help but flash back to the night he brought her home after being kidnapped. He had held her all night, but he wasn't really holding her for her or to keep away her fears. No, he had held her to assure himself that she was still there. That she was breathing and the she hadn't left him. That was his greatest fear, her leaving him. That night, she had really been holding him.

She don't know how much I need her
she don't know I'd fall apart
without her kiss
without her touch
without her faithful loving arms
she don't know that its all about her
she don't know I cant live without her
she's my world she's my everything
and she thinks she needs me

Sara was the one person he would happily sacrifice himself for. He would do anything for her. He found it funny how she though she was the one who depended on him. She didn't realize that without her he was nothing.

You know the funny thing is
she thinks she's the lucky one

He remembered her whispered words clearly "I'm so lucky to have you." Oh no. She didn't understand. She wasn't the lucky one. Hell, she was the one dating a workaholic old man. No, he was the lucky one. He always had been when it came to them. He knew she could do much better. He also knew that she loved him. They were each other's everything's.

A/N: Kay, there's Chapter 1. You Likey? Continue or no?
