Chapter 6: The kiss
(Hinata)
Again I found myself cornered so I took Narutos hand. Once he pulled me up he did something I so longed for. He pulled me closer and his lips met mine. I was in utter shock. I loved Naruto for so long and he didn't show much interest before. So why was their sudden change in his actions? He broke the kiss and said "I'm guessing you have some questions now and I'm glad to answer them after dinner."
My hand was still in his and he led me over to the fire pit. I sat down on a blanket and in front of me was amazing smelling food. "Uhm Thank you Naruto-Kun." He smiled and said "no problem eat up!"
I ate pretty quietly. After that kiss I didn't know what to think. Honestly I didn't want to let go, but at the same time was he doing that just so I wouldn't be mad at him anymore. I couldn't bear all the questions running through my mind anymore.
"Naruto why did you kiss me?" He looked at me with a mouth full of food, which was actually kind of cute. "I mean you didn't talk to me for most of this whole mission."

I gulped down my food and this time it was now or never. I scooted closer to Hinata and as I did her cheeks turned bright pink. "I guess this isn't easy for me to say, but I like you Hinata. You always looked up to me and you always seem to be happy around me. That's not all because I like you more than a friend." Hinata turned even redder. I waited for a response.
"Hm you don't know how long I've waited to hear that" She smiled and she didn't hesitate to react. She quickly jumped in my arms and gave me a warm embracing hug. I fell back and she was lying on top of me as we were both giggling. "Heh I guess that means you're not mad at me anymore"
We then both came to realization how such close contact we had with each other. Then our eyes met. " Hinata did I ever tell you that you have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen." Hinata blushed and said, "Why girls like Temari and Sakura have color." "Heh I don't just look at your eyes I look beyond. I can see so much determinations, sweetness, and love in your eyes."
"Since were being honest, I have loved you since we were young. I always looked up to you, but…" I stopped her. "I know Hinata and I admit that I was really stupid for not realizing this a long time ago."
I wrapped my hand around the back of her head and pulled her in for a kiss. Before our lips met she said "Wait Naruto I'm new at this kissing thing." I could tell she was nervous. "Well don't worry I am too so I guess we can teach each other." She smiled and hesitantly leaned in for a kiss. Her soft lips met mine as I place my hands on her waist.
