Sam sat in front of her computer slowly falling asleep. After all the commotion with Baal and Ori she was now very tired. She hadn't slept well, dreams coming to her mind. When had her life become so complicated. Well, maybe since she started her job at the SGC, Sam thought. Sam was about to fully close her eyes when a shout alerted her.
"Carter!" a man barked.
"Sorry," Sam mumbled and slowly, without thinking, placed her head down on her hands and went to sleep. The man that had barked at her went close to her. Jack O'neill couldn't help but smile. He was finally away from Washington and now this.
"Jeez Carter," Jack sighed. He went toward the lab door and looked out in the hallways. He didn't see anybody and mostly everybody was at home by now. Jack went toward Sam and picked her up. She very tired if she didn't notice that she was being moved, Jack thought. He walked out of the hall cautiously and went to take Sam to her quarters. But as soon as he was at her door Sam woke up.
"Sir?" Sam questioned. Jack looked down and smiled at Sam in his arms.
"Hey Carter," Jack said softly. He walked toward her bed and placed her on it. He was about to leave when an arm grabbed him.
"Don't leave," Sam mumbled as she pulled Jack toward her.
"Why not?" Jack asked.
"Because our life is too complicated and I am tired from hiding," Sam told him as he sat on her bed, next to her.
"Sam, there is not hiding," Jack mumbled to her.
"There isn't?" Sam asked.
"Daniel already told the base that we were married," Jack told her.
"Well….that sucks," Sam said smiling.
"That is life Mrs. O'Neill," Jack told her smiling.
"How did this happen?" Sam told him.
"What happen?" Jack asked.
"Us getting married?" Sam asked him.
"I think right after we got the virus from those Touched people," Jack told her.
"I hate when timelines change," Sam told him.
"Well, I think I like this outcome better," Jack replied back.
"Good thing Thor had us not change with the screwing up of the time," Sam said.
"Yep. Good old Thor," Jack said.
"Hey good news," Sam replied.
"What?"
"SGC now has cake," Sam said smiling.
"Finally!"
