Prologue I was asleep on a Saturday night, not wanting to go to church the next day or school coming up on Monday. I didn't want summer to end - the pools, the vacations to Florida, my treks through my endless wooded backyard. Although at school, I could see my friends and that one boy I liked - I never found out his name, though. That night was the first time I met her, my little friend. Chapter 1: The Girl Who Could See "Sasha, I know you've been following me for quite some time. Why?" "U-um, well. You see...I uh...", I stammer along. "Do you... like me or something?", he asks me slyly, eyes barely peeking over his glasses. "Um... it's just... What's your name?" Dang it, self! Just tell him you have a crush! He already suspects it! "Oh, is that it?" He walks toward me and pins me against the lockers. He leans in next to my ear and begins to whisper with a smirk. "My name is..." - I gasp for air as I snap open my eyes. "Dang it!", I think to myself. "I woke up before anything happened" I was thinking only about the dream, so I didn't see what had woke me up. A movement caught my now opened eyes. I tilt my head up to see something small like a doll crouched down on my chest. I haven't played with dolls in years, but there was one just right there! I sit up and try to grab the doll, but it's starts moving on its own and is running away from me! It ran to the window and tried to open it, but I grabbed it with one of my hands. I start looking for the light so I can see exactly what it is, but it bites down onto my thumb before I can do anything. It jumps free, whatever it is, and starts running across my desk. I see an empty clear plastic cup so I grab that and put it over the thing to trap it. I hold the cup down with both hands in case it was really strong. Grabbing some tape, I stick the edges to the table the best I can. All sort of things start running through my head. What is this thing? Why is it in my bedroom? Did I just catch a real alien? What about my bite? Oh my God! What if it's poisonous?! I finally turned on the light so I could look at what it was. What I saw, however, was one of the, no, THE strangest thing I had ever seen my whole life.
