I had been dating Victoire for three months, but we hadn't told her family about out dating. I wanted to tell them in a big, dramatic way because I was a big, dramatic person with very dramatic hair.
"Teddy," Victoire said as we stood in Kings Cross. "We need to tell my family. It's been three months. When can we tell them?"
"Just wait " I said with a soft smile. "I need to come up with something dramatic to break the news."
"Teddy, they already all love you. It's not like they won't approve or anything. Why do you want to tell them in a dramatic way?" Victoire questioned. "Why don't I just go up to them and say, 'Hey, I'm dating Teddy Lupin.'?"
"Because that's so boring!" I argued. "It's Rose's and Albus's first day at Hogwarts, and I want to tell them in a way that will make this day memorable."
"Yeah," Victoire replied with sarcasm, "because starting Hogwarts isn't memorable enough."
I laughed and responded, "There was nothing memorable when I started Hogwarts."
"I'm sure that's true," she sarcastically replied rolling her eyes. "It's not like Professor McGonagall hugged you when you came into the Great Hall and told you that you look exactly like your father."
"Except for my hair," I argued. "I have my mother's hair."
"I like it when it's hot pink the best, like bubblegum."
"That was my mother's favorite color too." I smiled and changed my hair. James walked up behind Victoire and laughed.
"Nice hair, man," he stated.
"Thanks," I replied grinning. Then I was struck by a brilliant idea. "Hey, James, will you do Victoire and me a big favor?"
"Um, sure," James agreed hesitantly.
"Ok, thanks," I responded before telling him my plan to dramatically tell his parents, aunt, uncle, cousins, and siblings that Victoire and I were dating.
"Yeah, I can do that. I love it!" James exclaimed before running off to tell his family that he saw us snogging.
"And that, Victoire, is how you let you family find out we're dating in a dramatic way," I told her. "Now let's make it true."
"We're already dating. It's true," Victoire responded confused.
"Not that," I told her with an eye roll. "I meant the snogging part."
"Oh," she replied.
I laughed and responded, "I love you."
"I love you, too," she told me with a smile before pressing her lips to mine.
