So, this will be my very first story on this website ever. Since I don't really know what I'm doing, I will please ask that you don't rage about how much of a bad author I am, not only do I not want to hear it, I'm sure others don't as well.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. I'm here to post my first story. So here it is, and I hope you enjoy.

leafy green adventure
chapter 1: the beginning
When I woke up on that beautiful Friday morning, I felt like today was the day for something amazing to happen. Today is day I leave town.
Right now you're probably wondering who I am right? Well first things first my name is Ikin, I've lived in Pallet town for my entire life. Right now it's just me and my mom. My dad died a long time ago when I was young so I don't remember very well, but I remember him enough to I wanted nothing more than to make him proud of me.
So that's why I'm leaving town. To explore the world and see new things and meet new people. But first, I have to get a pokemon.
When I got out of bed, I went over to my dresser and decided to wear my favorite clothes for today which consists of: a red hat with a white half ring on the front, a pair of blue jeans, a black t-shirt, my favorite red vest with a white outline for the zipper, and two black wrist bracelets.
After getting ready, I head downstairs and wish my mother goodbye before I leave the house and head over to the lab.
Once I get inside, I go to the back of the giant room and see only one person waiting for me, Robert.
Robert is my rival and always has been, ever since we were kids we've always competed against each other.
I head up to and ask, "Where's your grand pa?" it might come to shock the people who don't live in Pallet town, but it turns out Robert is actually prof. Oaks' grandson.
"He's not here. Probably out in route 1 looking for pokemon again." I hear him reply. "now go be a goo…" I didn't hear what he had to say because at that very moment the front doors open and Oak makes his way into the lab.
"Gramps! I'm sick and tired of waiting!" Robert shouts with an angry look on his face that showed he waited a bit longer then he should've.
"Robert? Oh, yes now I remember. Both of you wanted a pokemon from my lab today so you could go on an adventure, right?" Oak replies with almost no hint of the shock anyone else would feel from being yelled at.
"alright, here on the table, I have 3 pokemon that I believe are ready for going on an adventure. Ikin, since it was your birthday a couple of days ago, you get to pick first." Oak says while smiling the kind of smile that meant something other than intended.
"how did yo-, never mind." I say as I go over to the table that has the 3 pokemon on them. I look at all three of them one by one to see which one I should choose.
On the left side was Bulbasaur, the grass type pokemon and the easiest to train. In the middle was Squirtle, the water type pokemon and the one worth raising. And last but not least, on the right side of the table was Charamander, the fire pokemon and the one that takes time raising.
I look at the 3 again and decide on Bulbasaur, the grass starter. If I'm going on an adventure, I need to get stronger and quickly. So Bulbasaur seemed like the only good option.
After receiving Bulbasaur from the prof. I see Robert smiling and giving Oak a nod of agreement. He goes over to the other side of the table and picks up Charamander with out evem giving Squirtle a good look.
"I pick this one then." He says to me and as I am about to leave, I hear Robert shout, "Wait, Ikin! Before I let you go, I challenge you to a battle."
