Prologue
It was said that a united kingdom would never make it. It was said that coming together was done in vain. The Serpiente, the Avians. Wyvern's Court…doomed from the very beginning. How many had faith? Very few, but it was enough. Most important of those few was my older sister Danica Shardae and brother-in-law Zane Cobriana. Together they made peace. Together they ended a war. Though many are hesitant to trust the other enough to truly be together, they have made progress. Wyvern's court is yet young-all great things take time, and so will Wyvern's Court if it is to be such.
Even under an unlikely ruler. Hai Cobriana, daughter of Anjay Cobriana, is the rightful heir to the Serpiente throne. When Oliza Shardae Cobriana, my older neice and heir to not one but two thrones, abdicated them both thirteen months ago, Hai was left in charge of Wyvern's court, while Salem, her cousin, became Diente. I inherited the throne as Tuuli Thea and five months later took my Alistair, Prentince, and quite immediately, we conceived. Eight months later I am here on the verge of, very soon, becoming a young mother.
I am nervous because of the fact that I am only seventeen, but also excited and glad that my child will be born into a world not tarnished by war and death and misery, and with the Serpiente as allies instead of enemies.
A world divided, yet merging. This will be his time. This will be his future.
