Authors Notes: After watching the episode "Prodigy" I couldn't help but think of Daniel when the scientists were arguing with Jack. –chuckles- wells hope you enjoy.
Spoiler Warnings: Prodigy (season 3 episode 19)
"You know something Carter?" Sam looked up from her papers to the colonel who had just taken the seat across the table from her.
"What Sir?" She asked. They were in the briefing room awaiting General Hammond as he took care of some business in his office. Teal'c was in the chair beside her and Jack had just come in from the infirmary. The welts on his face still looked horrible but she had full assurance in Janet's abilities and didn't worry for the colonel at all. In fact he was lucky that welts were all he had.
"Its missions like this that truly makes me appreciate Daniel," he replied flippantly.
"Daniel sir?" She asked in confusion, Teal'c raised his eyebrow in question also. Daniel was off world with SG11 and hadn't even come on this mission.
"Why is that O'Neil?" Teal'c inquired also. Jack was about to respond when Dr. Hamilton walk in with the other scientist. The two of them were talking but stopped instantly at the sight of Jack. They straightened up and quickly took the empty seats at the table. Sam hadn't been able to hear much of the conversation but she heard enough to know they were complaining…again.
Jack met her eyes. "That answer your question Carter?" Sam exchanged a glance with Teal'c. Sam smiled, and noticed the Jaffa also wore an expression of amusement.
