Rick Roll

A.N.: The title speaks for itself. I do not own Never Gonna Give You Up or Young Justice in any way, shape, or form.

"Robin."

Robin turned to the source of the voice that had called his name in greeting.

"Hey Batman," he replied, returning to his work on the computer.

"What are you doing?" the Dark Knight asked.

"Oh, nothing important. It's just a personal project; I'd rather if you didn't try to help with it." Bruce grunted an agreement to the statement and excused himself to the watchtower, feeling a little hurt that Dick was keeping a secret from him. Never the less, he arrived at the watchtower for monitor duty.

"What are you up to, you little troll?" Artemis fumed as she strolled into the lobby of the cave. Wally, Kaldur, Conner, Megan, and the boy in question were already there, watching a screen play a video.

Upon further examination, the video appeared to be security footage from the watchtower, with most of the league framed in the screens and their conversations coming through the speakers. A second, smaller screen was at Robin's fingertips.

"Oh good, Artemis, you're here. That means I can finally do this." With that, the Boy Wonder typed in some code on the smaller screen and funky beat blared over the speakers in the cave.

We're no strangers to love

You know the rules, and so do I

A full commitments what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

The entire league had turned around at the first note off the speakers. After the first verse, they were either holding their ears and groaning or dancing passionately.

There was no in between.

As the song continued, the screen showing the monitor womb showed Batman frantically trying to stop the song, but to no avail. After several seconds of the next verse, said screen now showed the Bat slightly swinging his head to the beat as he worked, another few second passed and the man was now singing the chorus!

"IS HE SINGING?!" Artemis asked in astonishment, and then followed it up with an evil smirk and "Robin, record this. It's too good material for blackmail to just let it die." Robin did as asked and a small red dot began flashing in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of 80's style torture for everyone who wasn't enjoying the music, the song came to an end and a chorus of finally's came over the group, quickly followed by uproarious laughter.

"I can't believe Batman can sing! Does ever do that around you, Rob?" Wally asked from his spot on the floor.

"No, this is the first time I've ever seen him do that!" the ebony retorted.

"We got that video saved, right?" Conner asked. Robin nodded back at him. Even Kaldur gave a low chuckle. Everyone waited for their laughs to die down before heading home through the zeta beams.

Robin B01

Dick walked through the machine and strolled over to Batman. One look at his ward was enough to send the Boy Wonder into a fresh giggle fit, followed by full blown laughter and placing his head on the table, nearly crying.

"I assume that was you, then?" Bruce asked. A clumsy nod was his response.

"That was what you were working on?"

"Heheheheh, yeah. It's called a rick roll. Ahahahahahahaha."

"I actually happen to like that song."

"And the best part is, I managed to rick roll the team too!"

The Dark Night shook his head silently, a smirk written across his face. That boy…
