Forever and all Eternity
Tomoyo peered through the branches of the beautiful sakura tree that was in full bloom, but she was focused on a different Sakura. Her best friend Sakura Kinomoto was quietly standing beneath the tree watching as the beautiful blossoms fell around her. Today was the day of the sakura festival, and Sakura Kinomoto looked beautiful in her light pink kimono. Tomoyo wished that she could just watch her forever, but she knew that the moment wouldn't last…that's why she was filming it. Finally Sakura looked over and saw Tomoyo.
"Tomoyo-chan! Aren't the trees so beautiful? I think that these are the prettiest that they've ever been!" Tomoyo smiled and nodded. Yes, the trees were beautiful, but she found herself thinking that Sakura was far more beautiful than the trees around them.
She loved to watch Sakura in anything she did. In all honesty, she loved her…but she had never told her that.
Maybe today… she thought to herself.
"Come on Sakura-chan! Let's go for a walk!"
"Ok!" Sakura took Tomoyo's outstretched hand and they walked under the falling petals. Soon they both had broken into a run as they laughed and tried to capture the dancing petals around them being stirred by the light breeze.
Not paying attention to where she was going, Sakura tripped over one of the tree roots.
"Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo shouted as she struggled to catch her falling friend. Pulling her hand, Sakura caused Tomoyo to fall down with her. Both stunned, they laid there for a moment before they laughed again at their own clumsiness. Neither one of them got up, they watched the petals fall from this new angle in awe. They could look right up into the heart of the blossomed trees.
"It's so beautiful…" Sakura said with wonder.
"Yeah…" Tomoyo found herself creeping closer to Sakura and running her fingers through the young girl's short brown hair. Her soft lips lightly brushed against Sakura's cheek. Sakura turned to look at her.
"Tomoyo-chan?" She asked unsure of what her friend was doing.
Well, now's the time to tell her if I'm ever going to…Tomoyo thought.
"Sakura-chan… I love you…" Tomoyo whispered into her ear. Sakura's eyes widened and Tomoyo was sure that her friend was disgusted with her. Tomoyo's eyes dropped to the ground in shame. "I'm sorry…I…" But a gentle hand caressing the side of her face cut off her words. Sakura had turned to face her and was now smiling.
"What took you so long? I didn't think that you would ever say it…" Sakura whispered as she drew nearer to Tomoyo.
"What?" Tomoyo asked in surprise as Sakura's warm, moist lips made contact with her own. She couldn't believe what was happening. Sakura felt the same way about her? It was just too wonderful and perfect to actually be real…
Tomoyo kissed her back gently, taking Sakura's face in her hands. She never wanted to let her go. Far too soon, the kiss ended.
"I wish we could stay like this forever…" Sakura said quietly. Tomoyo looked into her beautiful emerald eyes.
"Me too, Sakura-chan…me too…"
Tomoyo laid her head down on Sakura's shoulder. Forever is still not long enough for me to take in your beauty, my precious Sakura… I would need forever and all of eternity…
