*~*Peaceful Sleep*~*

Warmth on his face. Eyes still shut, Draco Malfoy started to smile as his mind made the connection as it had so many times before.

Warmth meant sunlight. Sunlight meant morning. Morning meant her.

Ginny.

He opened gray eyes to the familiar sight of red locks hanging in front of his face. Draco smiled and reached a hand from underneath the covers to move the silky strands out of his face. His fingers grazed the smooth skin of her neck, and Draco could hear a slight giggle from the sleeping woman in front of him. Still smiling, he slid his arm under the covers once more, wrapping both around Ginny's waist and drawing her back closer to his chest.

They were both on their sides, facing the window and the early morning sun. Draco silently reveled in the fact that they had such a set routine. Ginny never knew, because she always woke up later, and by the time she was awake Draco had usually moved. But he knew, every morning, no matter how they had gone to sleep, they always woke up in this same way.

*Flashback*

"Why do you always have to work so late nowadays, Draco? You've missed dinner five times this week!" Ginny exclaimed in frustration.

He groaned wearily, and undid the knot of his tie, looking pleadingly at his irate wife. "Gin, please give me a break. You know how bad the summer holidays are for us! Tons of witches and wizards use this time to either clean out their attics, or sell magical things to Muggle children. I've had to Memory wipe eight people this week alone, eight!"

She just crossed her arms over the front of her nightdress and glared at him. Brown eyes met gray, and finally, Ginny just gave a frustrated sigh and got underneath the covers, back to him. "Why do I even bother," she said angrily, voice muffled by the pillows around her. He didn't respond as he climbed into bed.

Draco tried to sling an arm around her (Ginny was very comfortable to sleep on), but she just shrugged him off and scooted further away on the bed. He started to scowl, and, with a muttered, "Fine," turned away from her too, and fell asleep, on the other side of the bed.

The next morning he'd awoken to the scent of mango shampoo and the feeling of a warm body cushioned against his. Draco smirked and placed a sleepy kiss on the top of her head.

*End Flashback*

Remembering that fight, Draco hugged her sleeping body closer to him. He knew they both had many things waiting for them outside their room, everything from the mundane to the infuriating, he thought as he started to drift back to sleep, but right here, everything was perfect.

Perfect.
