Missing Him

I don't own How to Train Your Dragon or any of the characters. They belong to Cressida Cowell and Dreamworks.

It's has been months since the fight with Drago and the Bewilderbeast, Hiccup becoming chief of Berk, losing his dad, Stoick the Vast, and finding his mom, Valka. Plus Toothless become the Alpha. Hiccup hass been helping around the village, getting rebuilt from the battle. He was walking through Berk to go to the forge to see Gobber. While he walked to the forge, Hiccup looked up the statue of his dad. "I miss you so much, dad." said Hiccup. "I wish you were here with us."

Hiccup walked into the forge. "Gobber?" asked the young chief. "Over here, lad." said Gobber as he was checking up on a Thunderdrum. The older viking gently petting the dragon's head. The Thunderdrum walked away. Hiccup smiled softly as he walked over. Gobber looked at the young viking chief and smiled at him. "How are you doing, lad?" asked Gobber. The young chief looked at Gobber. "I'm going okay. Just been busy and tired." said Hiccup. "Understandable." said Gobber. "I know you can get tired and busy with things, being a chief. And it can be stressful. Your father went through the same thing."

Hiccup looked up at Gobber when he was talking about his dad. Gobber looked back at him. "What's wrong, Hiccup?" asked the older viking. "I just really miss dad, Gobber." said Hiccup. Gobber pulled Hiccup close to him. Hiccup buried his face in Gobber's chest and closed his eyes. The young chief wrapped his arms around Gobber's middle. Gobber wrapped his arms around him and rubbed his back gently.

"I just want him to be here with me...with all of us." said Hiccup. "It's so wierd that's he's not at home and talking to him." "I know, Hiccup. I miss him too. And your mother and everyone misses him too." said Gobber. Hiccup looked up at him. "He was a great man. Stoick would be so proud of yyou and what you're doing with Berk." Hiccup smiled at him. Gobber ran his hand through Hiccup's hair and ruffled his hair gently.

"I'm always here for you, Hiccup. If you need to talk, or a shoulder to cry on or just need help. I can tell you stories about Stoick to keep the memories." said Gobber. Hiccup nodded at him. "Thanks, Gobber. You're a,azomg. I'm glad to have you in my life. You're like a second dad to me." said Hiccup. Gobber smiled at him. "And you're like a song to me, lad." said Gobber. The older viking hugged him and pulled back from it. Gobber patted Hiccup's cheek gently. "Go out flying with Toothless. Your mother and I will watched over the village." said Gobber. Hiccup smiled and nodded at Gobber before going to find Toothless.
