"You're pathetic," she said sitting next to him vodka in hand.
"You're just as bad" he said barely looking up.
Brooke rolled her eyes, "So why did you come?"
"I got an invitation." Jake replied.
"Didn't mean you had to come. I honestly didn't expect you to."
"Maybe I wanted to shock people. You know by going to the only girl I ever loved marrying one my closest friends."
"You sound bitter"
"Yep, What about you any bitterness?"
"Tons of bitterness. You know he got a tattoo for me."
"She asked me to marry her."
"He, in a way, made Nathan throw a ball at Chris Keller's head because I slept with him."
"Jenny called her "Momma" once."
"He cheated on me with Peyton twice."
"She told me she loved Lucas in her sleep."
"As much fun this is I have a godson to dance with." Brooke said walking off to find James.

"What's that your 8th drink?" Brooke asked walking up to the bar, to Jake.
"Somewhere near it. So did hurt?" he asked.
"When I fell from heaven?" she spat, "Where do you learn your pick up lines, Tim?"
"No, seeing Peyton and Lucas together" he whispered.
The anger gone from her voice she sighed "All the time."
"Then why are you here?" he questioned.
"Maid of Honor mean anything to you?"
"I think it means you need another drink"
"Can't, If I get drunk my speech will contain Carrie Underwood's "Before he Cheats" and we can't have that" she said grinning.
"You're right. Anyway "Never Again" would be much fitting." She laughed quietly at his attempt to make her smile.
"I don't want to be another bitter bridesmaid." she whispered.
"Always a bridesmaid never a bride," he quoted.
"Yeah, you know I'm surprised Peyton hasn't come over to talk to you yet."
"She's scared," he said.
"Aren't we all?" she question, "How's Jenny?"
"At her mom's" he replied.
"Again with the bitterness"
"You know what we should make out to make Peyton and Lucas jealous," he said rolling his eyes.
"Somehow I don't think that would work out to well," she laughed.
"Whatever"
"Well I'm gonna go make my speech"
"Have fun with that," he spat.
Brooke went up to the microphone, "When I was 10 I decided to plan Peyton's wedding. Though the years many things have changed in the plan: the cake, the dresses, the Scott brother, one thing hasn't. She'd be in love. And I'll be damned if she isn't. So here's to Lucas and Peyton who wouldn't let anyone get in their way to have the life they dreamed of." She went back to talk to Jake.
"That last line sounded a little bitter to me" Jake said laughing.
She just glared at him.
"Life sucks" she said.
"How long do you think they're gonna last?" he asked.
And as everyone stood there congratulating the happy couple Brooke and Jake were betting on when they'd (Lucas and Peyton) get divorced.
