Caroline Forbes was a woman with many talents, she could dance, sing and get anyone to do anything she desired. She tries so hard to be enough but somehow she always falls short. She is never as pretty as Elena but it is not for a lack of trying, she buys only the best makeup and shops in the trendiest of stores. Nothing she ever does compares to her friend; she loves Elena dearly but sometimes she hates her. She tries so hard to make friends and impress others but she is always a little too mean and a little too bossy for others to truly like her whereas, it comes naturally to Elena Gilbert. Matt likes Elena more and only dated her because he could not have Elena, Damon used her as a pawn to get to Elena, Stefan never even looked her way and I'm sure if given the opportunity Tyler would choose Elena over her. I have always been the second choice until Klaus Mikaelson came to Mystic Falls. He was the resident "Big Bad" but he took a liking to her. He seemed to like her feisty behavior whereas everyone else just thought she was being a cold hearted bitch. He understood her in a way no one else ever could because he was so accustomed to being the odd one out in his family.
Caroline Forbes had many insecurities from years of never being good enough but Klaus came into town and erased all of her insecurities. He made her feel beautiful, strong and full of light, when he was around she felt like a queen. She realized that she deserved so much more than this small town life. She deserves to see the world and who better to show it to her than the man who was there when all of it was created.
