Dear, Darling Emily

Dear, Darling Emily was waiting in the cold,

waiting for a lover she thought would never show.

She looked about the graves and trees, heart

swelling in anticipation, wait, what was that,

there among the trees, a man perhaps her

lover here to set her free?

Unexpected was the blow, she fell and hit

her head, who should be leaning above her

but the man she'd thought to be her love,

her one and only prince, grabbing the jewels,

the satchel of gold he'd told her to bring, to

help start a new life together, forever till

death to them part. As sleep claimed her she

made a vow never to leave this earth until she

had someone to love, to cherish, forever and

Dear, Darling Emily fell asleep in the cold

all alone to dream about the love of her life

"Rest now just rest" he'd said and so rest she

did, rest in peace Dear, Darling Emily
