"Shhh. Keep still" said Severus as he climbed into Lily Evan's bedroom window.

"Severus! What are you doing here!?"

"Don't say anything. I don't want your parent's to wake up. I just had to come see you before…"

"Before we go off to Hogwarts?" finished Lily

"Yes. But shh. Be quiet" whispered Severus.

"But Severus, we're going to see each other all the time right? You said we'd be in the same house. We think alike you and I. We'll be going to the same school, it will all be okay, right?" said Lily, sitting up in her bed.

"Yeah. But we might not be in the same house. I just don't know. Besides, you know that you are my only friend. And you know why that is."

"No, I don't."

"I'm different Lily. You, you are so different- In that good way I mean." Said Severus, starting to blush.

"Severus, listen to me, it's okay. I'm your friend, and I'm still going to be your friend at Hogwarts. You and I will make lots of new friends. You're only weird here because well, because you're a wizard. "

"You're a wizard too Lily and everyone likes you." Said Severus.

"No, not everyone, " replied Lily

"Uh huh, name someone who doesn't like you Lily"

"Well…"

"See. I told you so!" Said Severus.

"Keep it down!" whispered Lily.

"Right. Anyway, I just wanted to er, say goodnight. And I guess I'll see you later on, on the train I mean." Said Severus, starting to turn around.

"Severus wait!" Lily said in a hushed yell "tell me again about Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts express and Dumbledore, yes, please tell me about Dumbledore!"

"Lily, you'll see it all tomorrow. What use is there in telling it again?"

"You weren't seriously planning on sleeping were you? I'm going to be up all night wondering about it all and being excited. Aren't you?" Asked Lily.

"yes, but-"

"Then come, lay here with me and if we're very quiet no one will know. Please tell me all about it Severus, I can't wait till the morning!" Begged Lily.

"Oh all right. First off, when you get to Diagon Alley-"

"You have to go through a bar to get in right, and you tap on the bricks on the wall!"

"Whose telling the story here?" Smirked Severus.

"Well. Sorry. Keep going then," said Lily as she laid back down in her bed.
