It is alive

It is alive!

Yes that's right, Scarlet is back to write more stories for you readers. Though this will not be a one-shot. There will be chapters. With this story I'd like to have 5 reviews for each chapter to continue. It's not anything towards you guys, but with me working and all, I need some people helping me with my run and inspiration.

Read, Review, and favorite. Please, thank you, bye bye.

Anyways, declaimer! I do not own Shugo Chara, the character or anything but the idea of the story! Loves!

(Amu's POV)

I walked quickly down the usually crowded streets, hoping to escape from the eerie night. I couldn't help but look up into the sky where the moon sat on its pedestal, bloody but never broken. The clouds that floated around it were not the comforting color of white in this demonic night, but a black with an orange outline. I had to look away from the starless night or I'd become entranced by the evil aura that floated around the whole town. Somehow even the pedestrians that would walk around every night shopping, going out to a fine diner, or just going out to exercise could feel it and heed its warning to stay inside.

As I quickly moved I realized where I was heading, the company that was most evil, Easter. I was staring at the building at the bottom of the steps that were placed at the base of the whole establishment. The thoughts ran to Tsukiyomi Ikuto and his sister Hoshina (Tsukiyomi) Utau. Ikuto… There were no words to describe him perfectly and if I tried it would only soil his name. Now I'm not trying to sound like I like him… Which I don't!! But… uh… Well, Utau is the same way; maybe it's just there family where if you used any word to describe them it wouldn't be right…

I heard a sound coming from the top of the stairs, at the entrance of the building and instinctively I flinched away from it, looking up at the shadowed person that towered over me. The shadow didn't have long shimmering hair in two pony-tails like Utau, and the body wasn't formed like Ikuto's at all. It was an enemy I couldn't trust! I moved quickly to get away, running for my house but getting lost, finding myself in an alleyway in a part of town I'd already been through.

I was about to turn around and find my way home as quick as I could if my eyes hadn't adjusted to see the mound of skin laying a few feet away from me. It had the stench of blood wile it looked as if a cat curled up in a fetal position. "Ikuto!" I was able to manage his name with my horse throat. I was extremely dehydrated from walking from school into town with the guardians, having a snack wile talking about the regular guardian things that were talked about in a meeting. After that I did some sigh shopping and finally ended up getting lost, ran around till it got dark and now I was here, looking at Ikuto with my golden eyes that had tears threatening to spill.

"A-Amu?" His voice sounded strained just to say my name. Success, this perverted idiot of a 'stray cat' had finally gotten me to shed a tear over him being physically hurt. I was on my knees in front of him, reaching out to touch his bleeding head but I was afraid I'd hurt him with my shaking hands. His midnight blue hair with a red tint from the blood was no longer soft to my fingers but sticky and gross.

"I-I…" I couldn't even finish off his name I began to cry to hard, the back of my hands covering my eyes and rubbing them with all there force to rid the tears.

"A-Amu." I knew he was trying to get my attention and instantly he had it with the sound of his voice. His hand moved to my frozen form as he wiped some tears from my eyes. "I don't have time to say 'goodbye.' I want you to know," I knew he was trying very hard to speak; I could only listen in horror. "Don't put your life in someone else's hands; they're bound to steal it away."

"Ikuto, don't talk. I'll call an ambulance. You can live through this, I know you can." I tried my hardest to breath and maintain a 'I know what I'm talking about' face but he saw through me.

"Easter is trying to eliminate everyone connected to them. If you want to get out alive, hold on for your life." I could hear his voice fading as he talked. I held onto his hand that was placed in my now bloodstained cheek with the other caressed his cheek. He took in one last breath, his eyes closed as the light twitching underneath his eyelids began to slow, and soon stop.

"No, Ikuto, don't leave. Please…" I heard a car driving close to the alleyway. I quickly recalled what he had told me and moved deeper into the alleyway, hiding behind a dumpster. A dark car stopped in font of the entrance to the dark corridor, two men that were built pretty well exited the car, moving to were Ikuto's dead body lied.

I was twitching towards the edge of my seat. I wanted to deny the men access to the boy who remained still. I couldn't believe it was over, Ikuto was gone. I wanted to run but there was no where to go, I wanted to hide forever but only the blind couldn't see me. I was so vulnerable. As I glared at the men from my hiding place, I examined what they were doing closely, making sure they wouldn't do anything to his body.

"Looks like he's long dead," I heard one man say with a voice that was dull from either lack of sleep for pure boredom. I almost attacked him when he bent down and went to grab Ikuto by the hair, though the other man grabbed his wrist before he could, shaking his head 'no.'

"Let's get going, this piece of shits dead, we don't need to make sure." He turned around and began walking back to the car, the other fallowed mumbling something about there next target of work… Hoshina (Tsukiyomi) Utau.

A small gasp escaped my lips and I almost thought they heard me, though when I peaked they were already in there car, starting it, and vanishing. I creped out from behind the dumpster and moved past the mound of flesh with my eyes closed, I didn't want to see it anymore. I peaked from behind the wall to see if the men had turned a corner so they wouldn't spot me running out of the alleyway and in the opposite direction. They were gone and so was I, I ran.

I found myself in a street I didn't recognize… and in front of an unknown house. When I looked at the name plate for the house it read, 'Tsukiyomi.' Utau. I quickly move up to the house and knock loudly, "Utau, Utau! Please answer, it's me, Amu!" I could feel my pulse skyrocket when someone doesn't answer after what feels to be hours. Finally I hear locks being fiddled with on the other side.

"What is it Hinamori Amu?" Utau appeared on the other side with her regular pretty look to her, though you could see on her face that she worked at it for a wile after getting woken up by my banging. Now I realize why it took her so long.

"I-Ikuto… he's been…" I choked on my words as I tried to tell her the tragedy that was now placed upon my shoulders.

"What happened to Ikuto? What did you do?" Utau was furious and if I didn't spill quickly, there might not be time for me to speak the words to her before she kills me.

"He's been murdered by Easter."

I was a little surprised she understood me; I spoke so quietly wile tears began to spill over my eyes. No, I mustn't cry now, Utau's life is in danger. I took me many moments to regain composure as I dried my eyes with the back of my hand. "U-Utau, I have something to tell you…"

"There's more?" She sounded absolutely broken with new formed tears streaming down her cheeks as she used the doorframe as support.

"Easter is after you too. We need to get you somewhere safe!" I started to feel my heart beat become faster, sweat I hadn't noticed before ran down the back of my neck. I became impatient waiting for Utau's decision, so I grabbed for her hand and began down the driveway and onto the rode.

I heard tires behind us, and just like any horror movie heroin, I dumbly looked behind me. There is was the dark car. "Utau, run faster," I said urgently, though my words came too late.

Gunfire echoed off the walls of the darkened houses that surrounded our two exhausted bodies. A small gasp left the lips of the blond superstar beside me whom fell to her knees and onto the ground. My own gasp echoed hers and I fell down beside her, "Utau!" My voice cracked as I shouted her name.

"This is my last time," I heard her say as she withered in pain. "It's hard to imagine, Amu. Your kindness towards me whom has been so mean to you, but one day you'll end up like me." Tears streamed down my cheeks as I heard her say the same thing Ikuto said to me before he died. "If you want to get out alive, hold on for your life." The same last words Ikuto said to me…

I got up and started to run. Blinded by tears and took random turns into a darkened street. When I no longer heard car wheels I stopped and whipped off all the tears. I found myself at the Fujisaki residence. I began to think deeply about the words Ikuto told me as my body began to move on its own, ringing the doorbell into the big estate and talking.

"A-Amu?"

Realization got me when a voice broke through my thoughts. "Oh, sorry Nedeshiko." I hadn't realized that tears were streaming down my checks as Nedeshiko and her family looked at me in worry.

"Amu?"

"Amu?"

"Amu?"

Why were they all calling me when I was responding to them? Slowly I realized it all…. The blackness covering my sight, the cold feeling that ran through my body and the rough floor hitting the back of my head. Was I dying?

It was all so dark…

I gasped, my hands having a death grip on a bundle of cloth that was bedding, my feet pushing away the cloth below me. My eyes were wide with tears streaming down my clammy face as I lay in a sea of sweat.

(End Chapter 1)

Okay, end of chapter 1. I hope to get 5 reviews before I post the next chapter.

Ikuto: Well that's lame, I died right off the bat… I though this was going to be another Amuto fanfic.

Amu: Thank god it isn't!!

Scarlet: Then who will you be paired up with Amu? Tadase? Enter heavy sarcasm on the word, 'Tadase.'

Amu: YES!

Ikuto: No!!

Utau: Ikuto! Why won't you love me back?

Ikuto: I told you already, because you're my sister! Amu's heart belongs to only me.

Amu: Um… Ikuto…

Utau: Amu… must… die…

Scarlet: Well, anyways, hope you review and favorite. Thank you!
