Blue
Victoire Weasley strived to be unique. That's why she dyed her hair for her wedding. She wanted to be diverse. She wanted to be remembered. So, to match her fiancé's hair, she'd dyed her glorious blonde locks turquoise too.
"Okay Lils, time for the moment of truth," Victoire said, staring at herself in the mirror.
Lily Potter frowned. "Are you completely sure about this, Vic? I'm sure we could fix it with magic if you don't like it."
"No, I want to match Teddy," Victoire said stubbornly, before pulling the towel off of her head.
Oh, her family's faces when they saw her. By the time they saw her, it was too late, as she was just about to walk down the aisle.
"Victoire Gabrielle Weasley!" Fleur Weasley, Victoire's mother, gasped. "What 'ave you done?"
Victoire smiled. "I dyed my hair blue."
"Oh Vicky, it's okay, we'll use an 'air colour spell that I found ze other day. It'll be fine," Fleur said consolingly, a slight accent affecting her words that her years in England still hadn't wiped out. She thought that Victoire's blue hair was an accident. "Bill!"
"Yeah, Fleur?" Bill Weasley, Victoire's father, wandered over, before his mouth dropped open. "Bloody Hell, your hair! George!" Bill shouted. George Weasley, Victoire's uncle, quickly made his way over.
"Yeah, mate?"
"You fix my daughter's hair right now!" Bill snarled. "I will not have you ruining her special day."
"Calm down Bill! I didn't do anything to little Vicky. Nice hair." George winked at Victoire, and she grinned.
"Mama, Papa, it wasn't Uncle George. I did it."
Bill and Fleur froze. "You mean a spell gone wrong?" Fleur said hopefully.
"No, I mean that I dyed my hair purposely."
It was at that moment that the music began, signalling the start of the ceremony. Fleur narrowed her eyes at her daughter, before shaking her head and hurrying to her seat. George followed her lead.
Lily turned and gave Victoire one of her special smiles, before linking her arm with Hugo's and walking ahead.
Bill frowned at her as she rested her hand on his arm. "Vic, why on earth did you dye your hair blue?"
"It's my something blue," Victoire said, making up an excuse instead of saying the true reason.
He gave her a doubtful look. "I thought that Teddy was your something blue."
She gave him an innocent glance as they ambled up the aisle. "Teddy's hair is unpredictable. It changes with his moods."
He kissed her on the cheek as they arrived at the altar, before ruffling her blue hair and whispering, "Don't tell your mother that I said this, but your hair actually looks alright."
Victoire gave a little laugh. "Thanks, Daddy." Bill quickly pulled her into a hug, before leaving her with Teddy.
"Love the hair," Teddy said under his breath.
"Thanks. Seems like you're the only one."
"Matches mine," he noted.
Victoire's smile was even brighter than her hair. "So it does."
Of course, the hair colour looked terrible on her. It contrasted horribly with the stark white of her dress, and only metamorphmagi could really pull off coloured hair. But she loved it anyway.
Little drabble I've been writing in my spare time. I've been uploading lots of these lately… I think I'm in a drabble-y mood.
