Sometime after the Three Tigers incident the companies known as Zoitec and Zi-Arms were shut down. All evidence of the rogue Deathsaurer was buried and the fate of the Tigers and their pilots was unknown. Blox technology soon disintegrated and the nearly extinct Blox Zoids became valuable treasures. Due to the collapse of the two powerful companies a hard depression hit the factions of Zi; the Republic was dealt the worst blow. The Neo Zenebas Empire was also struck a hard hit as political turmoil quickly hit in the form of an unsuccessful coup. Leaders pointed fingers, tempers were raised and the peace Zi had held was threadbare. When a radical plunged his Zoid into Helic's capitol, the brewing war finally erupted into an ugly clash between nations. The Neo Zenebas relied on its strength in fire power, the Republic countered with reliable numbers and its juggernaut the Ultrasaurus, while the Guylos, the smallest of the three, banked on a re-developed Dark Zoid technology to defend what little it had left. Underhanded tactics and brutal battles became common place as the stakes were raised higher and higher for survival. Caught in the middle the monstrous clash was Flare, a Guylos mercenary, who was about to discover the Republic had a behemoth of a secret…

"That makes five Zoids total." he whispered to the other, counting the two Cannon Tortoises at the entrance. If there was going to be a fight, the Konig Wolf would be trouble. Flare quickly shrugged it off as his goal came in sight.

"Stay here and stand guard while I get what we need." he told the other while skillfully picking the lock. Upon entrance Flare quickly scanned the room with his flashlight. The room itself was too small to be what he needed. Glancing at a paper on the nearest desk, he realized his suspicions were correct; this was not a military base but a research facility.

"Damn, I hate misinformation." he muttered to himself. Not wanting to make his venture a total loss, Flare shoved important looking files from cabinets into his pack. One in particular caught his eye. The mercenary flipped through a few pages then paused to catch

"… research concludes using recovered Zi-Arms revival system would give Subject A, Mad Thunder, a 100 percent rate of reactivation and survival. However, at only a 60 percent chance of reactivation and survival, something more is needed for the more damaged Subject B, the K-" Flare was stopped by a loud noise from outside the room.
