Disclaimers: I do not own Fairy Tail in any way, shape, or form. But I hope you all enjoy my work.

Mystery POV

*coughing in distance* I step through the burning cinders and ash only to stop amidst the spiraling puffs of smoke as I peered through to confirm the source of the rasping breaths. "How unfortunate, I did want to make this as clean as possible. But it seems you leave me no choice target." I muttered under my breath.

Pulling upon my blood tarnished gloves I ready myself to deliver the final blows when to my surprise my target stood up. "It seems you won't go down with out a fight, Very well than." Casting his gaze towards the floor he staggers closer into my range.

Using this to my advantage I spare no time to send a dagger flying straight into his already wounded side. Ripping away a lump of flesh with said weapon I watch as my target stifles his tormented screams and continues to stagger forwards bleeding in large sums along the way.

*muffled laughter* "Tough guy are we? Well than let's see if you live after this." Smirking I lift my right arm to strike once more only to be embraced softly. Pulling in closer he whispered his final words into my ear and slowly slipped down to the ground where he laid with a smile spread across his lifeless pail face.

Two days later in the year 770…

Butler's POV

Walking amongst the cobblestones a familiar silhouette gathers in front of the large silver gate. "Good evening madam, I presume the conference went well…" greeting me with an equal amount of glee a bright smile graces her face.

"Yes, if I might say so myself I should think the word for it would be unexpected." Upon opening the gate for my mistress I couldn't help but feel as though some thing had been weighing on her mind.

Brushing it off I stepped back to let her in as she continued towards the entry way of the main house. "I wonder…"

At scene of the crime…

Macarov's POV

Per#1: "What do you suppose could have done this?!"

Per#2: "this has to be the work of a demon."

*baby cries in distance*

Stepping upon the molten glass I make my way through the panicked crowds where in front of the scene were two investigators who in which directed their full attention on me as soon as I was with in some odd distance of them.

"SIR, as you guessed none of the captives survived the fire." Feeling a slight headache drifting about my left temple I continue looking toward the wreckage that was once the oldest building in town.

"And the body count?" the two men stiffened as the question hit the air; clearly it was no small number.

Grabbing the clipboard away from one of the men I scan through the details. "Any thing yet on the autopsies?" I asked as I handed back their papers. "N-no sir, except for one." I immediately I turn my head toward the man with determined eye's. "Tell me every thing."

"Well…"

Oops, well I guess you'll have to wait until the next chapter comes out in order to get more details. ;9
