-A short songfic I came up with, the song is "she is the sunlight" by Trading Yesterday, the song probably doesn't match the story very well but it gave me the inspiration to write it so I kept it in.-
Charlie sat by the window of the bus watching the rain fall from the sky. Watching the gloomy landscape passing him by and wishing he hadn't said yes to her hadn't told her the things he did. He wanted her to be happy and he wanted her to go for her dreams but there was always the selfish feeling that he didn't want to let her go. The delusion that he would make her happy enough that they could stay together but he knew that could never happened. He knew she deserved better than just a college dropout something better than what he could offer her.
~If
all the flowers faded away
And if all the storm clouds decided to
stay
Then you would find me each hour the same
She is tomorrow
and I am today~
Linda sat looking out the plane window staring out at the clouds wondering if she made a mistake. Afraid that she might have lost one of the best things she's had in her life to go pursue something in her heart she always thought she wanted. As she sat looking out she couldn't help but feel as if all she ever wanted was the man she left standing at the airport.
~And
if right is leaving I'd rather be wrong
She is the sunlight and
the sun is gone~
The bus stopped he grabbed his bag from the top compartment and slung it over his shoulder. He made his way over to the exit and called over a cab. He knew what he had to do he wasn't sure if what he wanted was selfish or careless but at the moment he didn't care.
~If
loving her is a heartache for me
And if holding her means that I
have to bleed
Then I am the martyr and love is to blame
She is
the healing and I am the pain
She lives in a daydream where I
don't belong
She is the sunlight and the sun is gone~
She waited for the rest of the passengers to get off first as she sat she made up her mind. It was an immature decision but she didn't care. She knew what she wanted more precise she knew what she needed. She made her decision and she was going to stick to it.
~And
it will take this life of regret
For my heart to learn to
forget
Tomorrow will be as it always has been
And I will fall
to her again
For I know I've come too close~
He stood there his bag at his feet staring waiting for the moment he knew would soon come.
~Cause
if right is leaving I'd rather be wrong
She is the sunlight and
the sun is gone~
She walked away from the luggage claim rolling her bags away walking towards the exit and she stopped in her tracks. Her breath caught in her chest a tear rolled down her face and a smile on her face. He stood outside the airport exit with his hands in his pocket and a smile on his face.
~She is the sunlight and the sun is gone~
