"Edward, you're a jerk and I hate you!! Get out!!" I threw yet another book at the blonde, tears threatening to fall.
"Emilee, just let me explain!" Edward insisted, ducking to avoid a pillow. "I didn't kiss Amy! She kissed me!"
"And you made no move to push her off!" I yelled, throwing another book. "You cheating bastard!!"
"She just surprised me, that's all!" Edward defended. "I told her I had a girlfriend."
"Yeah, after you two played tonsil hockey!" I screamed, desperately trying to blink back my tears as I reached into my closet.
"What are you doing?" Edward asked as I pulled out my suitcase and stuffed my things into it.
"What does it look like?" I asked back, sitting on the suitcase until it clicked shut. "I'm leaving. I never want to see you again, Edward Elric."
Edward could only watch as I ran out of the house and outside, heading toward the train station. Halfway there, I stopped and sat against a tree, finally letting the tears I'd held back fall. Burying my face in my knees, I just cried, my tears staining my jeans.
"Emilee?"
I looked up and saw Edward standing in front of me. "Go away," I said, using the back of my hand to wipe away the tears.
"You said you never wanted to see me again, so please, just listen," Edward said, clapping. He placed his hands on the ground, transmuting a crude piano but a piano nonetheless. "I wrote this right after Amy kissed me." He started playing, his fingers dancing over the keys with practiced ease. Then, he began to sing.
"Hello my beautiful,
It seems I just can't stay away.
It's been so very long,
That I've felt anything this strong.
You hold my heart,
The way you did an hour ago.
I've said all I can say,
But I must be sure you know.
That I love love love you,
I need need need you.
I long long long to hold you,
In my arms again.
I'm so so sad to,
Ever hurt hurt hurt you.
I'm more afraid of losing you,
Then anything before."
I looked up at Edward, a few tears still trailing down my cheeks. He kept his eyes closed, only opening them ever so often to look at the keys. I smiled very slightly as I wiped away my remaining tears.
"I love love love you,
I need need need you.
I long long long to hold you,
In my arms again.
I'm so so sad to,
Ever hurt hurt hurt you.
And I'm more afraid of losing you,
Then anything before.
Please can I have one more,
Hello."
I stood up as Edward continued to play, his eyes staying shut with his head bowed. "Edward," I whispered, almost inaudibly as Edward finished playing. "That was beautiful."
"I knew you'd like it," he said softly, standing up. "So, am I forgiven?"
"Of course you are," I replied, kissing him.
We stayed together under the tree, my suitcase and the transmuted piano never moving until we both fell asleep and slept under the stars.
