Manhood
It was raining hard and this was extremely peculiar, since it hardly rained in the summer. Harry Potter was tossing and turning in his bed, it was not a wonder why he could not sleep; Dumbledore was picking him up in approximately two hours, the day he finally becomes a man in their world, one full of magic! Harry too felt this moment was magic.
"Oh Dumbledore…. Hurry up…" Harry thought to himself as he tossed and turned in his small, uncomfortable bed pretending to be asleep.
One could tell, however, that he was going somewhere for he had all his belongings, every single one of them packed into a monstrous luggage. Of course, he managed to minimize its size until it was about the size of a normal luggage bag.
The doorbell rang at exactly twelve midnight at Privet Drive. Harry immediately opened his eyes and jumped out of bed, he quickly reached to turn the doorknob before he heard Uncle Vernon mumbling,
"I swear to God, if it be one of them freaks, I'll shoot them in their bloody heads! Ringing the doorbell at such late hour…"
Harry chuckled when he heard his Uncle open the door and say
"Oh. Erhm…. W-what are y-you d-doing here?"
"Me? Pardon me, but I was just about to fetch your nephew, Harry to see Professor Dumbledore." Harry immediately recognized the voice of his best friend, Ron Weasley. Ron was, obviously trying to be as polite as possible.
"Hey Ron"
"Harry! Blimey it's good to see you again – I mean, nice to see you Harry, how was your summer?" Ron glanced nervously at Uncle Vernon.
"It was the usual" Harry replied.
"Oh, that's great then. Oh here, let me help you with your bag."
As they left the house, Harry turned around to his annoyed uncle and said
"Though we hate each other to the guts, I still want to thank you for keeping me safe in your house. Now that I'm gone, Voldemort's might come here to kill you, so take care of yourself and be careful."
"Harry!" At this point Uncle Vernon was red and looked furious.
"If I ever see on the newspaper that you're dead, I'll never forgive you. F-For, uhh… wasting food that Dudders could have eaten instead. SO you take care too!" Uncle Vernon was blushing hard at this, turned around into his own house, slammed the door and said softly, yet audibly,
"Be safe Harry."
