Chapter 1: The Tipton
Maddie sighed as yet another person walked right by the candy counter. If business didn't pick up soon, Mr. Moseby was going to stop selling candy, altogether. She would lose her, already low-paying, job. And jobs were not very common where she lived.
Suddenly, a baseball crashed into the counter. Zack and Cody ran over quickly.
"Sorry, sweet thang," Zack said smoothly.
"Zack, only you could turn an apology into a pickup line," Maddie pointed out. "Why were you playing baseball in the lobby anyway?"
Mr. Moseby, unfortunately, was listening from the front desk.
"You were playing baseball in the lobby?!?" he cried.
"In a way," Cody responded.
The doors of the lobby flew open, and in walked-
"HANNAH MONTANA!" shouted people from the hotel.
And it was. Hannah Montana, her bodyguard, Robby, and her friends, Lola, Oscar, and Jimmy. Really, it was Miley Stewart, Robby Ray Stewart, Lily Truscott, Oliver Oken, and Jackson Stewart. Miley was going to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl (as Hannah Montana, of course). Her family and friends were coming to support her.
They were staying in the nicest suite at the Tipton.
Zack realized that this suite was not far from his. Only three floors. This would give him the perfect chance to make his move on Hannah. Of course, his mom would probably ground him. This would definitely be a problem.
As the commotion fell down, night started to fall. Maddie knew what this meant. Her cousins Sadie and Hal were coming to visit her. She had no problem with Sadie, but Hal was another story. He was obnoxious and rude.
The door quietly opened. In stepped four very familiar people.
Oh-no, she thought. A week with Hal.
Meanwhile, on the 23rd floor, Mr. Moseby was just finishing telling Carey what happened in the lobby, earlier that day.
"I can't believe this!" Carey shouted, once Moseby had left the room. "You guys know that you can't play any kind of sport in the lobby!"
"But Moseby was playing paddle-ball!" Cody protested.
Carey rolled her eyes. "You guys are grounded for 3 weeks! No TV, no music, no anything."
"No anything? Does that mean no breathing?" Zack joked.
Jokingly, Zack and Cody fell to the floor, pretending to be gasping for air.
