This is just a one-shot that I'm writing at almost one in the morning. I haven't slept in over 30 hours, but I'm not really THAT sleep deprived, but you never know. Just don't be surprised if the story suddenly starts talking about unicorns or squirrels, or something like that =P.
Anyways, Enjoy!!!!!
3rd person POV:
Edward never came back to Bella, as far as she knew.
She lived a human life, if you could call it that.
He never had kids, got married, or even had another boyfriend.
She never felt the need to, even though she wasn't with Edward, she felt as though she would betray him just by looking at another male besides her father or Jacob.
Today, Bella sits on her porch, watching the day drone on and on. But, it was peaceful, so she never complained.
She is now 98 years old.
Just like she feared, she was old enough to be his grandmother, great-grandmother even. But, that didn't matter anymore, he didn't love her anymore. He may have never loved her in the first place.
A disturbance in the woods that surrounded her house alerted her that something was not right. Today was a very sunny day, so, weather wasn't an issue.
In the west, seven godly figures came out of the trees, and into her line of view.
The Cullens.
"Bella?!" Alice shrieked, not sure whether to be happy or sad.
She just stared.
And stared.
And stared.
But, it wasn't her fault, she had bad hearing and eyesight.
So, they really just looked like blobs to her.
Bella slid of her chair, to the ground, coughing up blood.
They all rushed to her, and brought her inside, so they could set her down on the couch.
"Bella, we're so sorry that we left! We did it because we care! We only wanted you to have a normal, human life, please forgive us for leaving….." Alice's voice trailed off, she was get more sad by the minute.
Bella spoke low, almost too low, even for their vampire hearing, to understand. "I….forgave you….a long….time ago…." She managed to wheeze out.
They talked for a while, but not long.
Bella slipped into peaceful death at some point when Emmett told her about how amusing her found her when she was younger.
Since it would seem suspicious for them to be at the funeral and look so young, they had to go after it.
The family all set flowers on her grave, and walked away, silently sobbing.
Only Edward stayed.
After they all left his view, he crumbled to the ground, sobbing.
He cried for himself, for his family, for the life that he could've had with her. Now it was gone.
He felt wetness come down his cheeks, amazed, he lifted his hand up to his face.
They were tears…
Actual tears!
But, they had blood in them, the sign of losing a soul mate.
His soul mate.
He curled up next to the grave and willed himself to just fade away into death, but to no avail.
He wanted to be with her, no he needed to be with her.
He knew what he had to do.
He sat up and ran in the direction of Italy.
Alice didn't dare stop him.
"Bella, love, I'm coming." He mumbled.
There ya go! ^-^…yes, I adore this smiley ^-^, so don't be surprised if you see it a lot.
No, I won't add anymore chapters, I mean, what would I put in them? Unless someone comes up with an idea, this is the last chapter.
I have a confession, this isn't the real story. I had written a much deeper, more depressing story. I was going to put it up here…then, I lost it D:…..
Anyways, if you want me to put the real one, tell me, when I find it, I put it up. K?
