"Why am I here?"
"Because it's part of your course."
Roxas followed Kairi into a large room, dragging his feet the whole way. Only Axel stood in the room, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. "Wait," Roxas said. "Are we the only ones here?"
"Welcome to my class," Kairi said, standing in front of the two nobodies. "We will be learning about Cardio-Pulmonary Respiration."
"Wait a second," Roxas interrupted, pushing away Axel's hands as they reached for his black cloak. "We're learning CPR? Why don't we learn useful stuff like math and history? Why are we doing this?"
"Okay, Roxas," Kairi said, moving her hands to her hips, "since you're being such a pain, you're the unconscious victim and Axel, you're the rescuer." Roxas mumbled something, but lay down on his back nonetheless. "Axel, tap his shoulder and ask if he's okay."
Axel knelt next to Roxas's head, gently shaking the blonde's shoulder. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not, idiot," Roxas snapped, pushing Axel away.
"Shut up, Roxas, you're unconscious," Kairi said. "Okay, Axel. Now check for signs of life for no more then 10 seconds."
A small smirk came to the redhead's face and he leaned down to Roxas's face when the blonde opened his eyes again. Roxas gave a small yelp and pushed Axel away again, jumping to his feet.
"W-Wait a minute!!" Roxas half-squeaked, pushing Axel away as soon as the redhead reached out for him. "Why do we need to learn CPR? We're nobodies! We don't even have hearts!"
"Shut up, Roxas," Kairi said in a sing-song voice. The blonde scowled slightly and lay back down on the floor, Axel kneeling by his head as he closed his eyes. "Okay, Axel. Now give him 2 short breaths and push on his chest over his 'heart'," she made air quotes, "for 15 seconds."
Axel smirked again. "Yes, ma'am," he replied, leaning down to the blonde's face again. Roxas's eyes shot open when the redhead was only a few centimeters from his face, pushing him away.
"What the—?!" he yelled, jumping up once again. "Kairi, why are we doing this?!" He pushed Axel's arms away as they wrapped around his waist.
"Uh…what's that Demyx?" Kairi called, looking over her shoulder. "Well, gotta go guys. Great job today!"
"Kairi!" Roxas yelled after her as she ran away, starting to run after her.
"Wait, Roxas."
Axel pulled on Roxas's arm, pulling him back into his chest. "Axel," Roxas grunted. "Get off." He pushed the redhead away, running down the hall after Kairi. Axel sighed, shrugging his shoulders as he followed the blonde slowly.
