Yuuki Cross woke up one morning with a terrible stomach ache, she groaned as she stumbled out of bed, and down the stairs to breakfast.
Her father was at the stove, making pancakes, if her nose was not deceiving her.
"Ohayo, Gichou, ohayo Zero." She groaned, stumbling into her seat across from Zero at the table.
Her father was the chairman of Cross Academy.
Actually, he was her adopted father.
"Ohayo, Yuuki, my lovely daughter! I'm sooo glad you're awake! Zero is being so mean to me!" her father cried in a cheery voice.
Yuuki sweat dropped.
Sudden she felt a sharp pain shoot through her stomach. "Itai, itai, itai!" she cried as she fell to the floor, clutching her stomach.
"Yuuki, what's wrong?" her father cried, kneeling down beside her.
"I don't know, when woke up this morning, my stomach hurt."
Kaien stared at his daughter, then he saw Zero tense.
"I'll be going to school now." He said, standing up, he headed out the door.
Then all of a sudden Kaien realized what was wrong with Yuuki.
"Come on, dear, let's get you back to bed."
When he came back downstairs after giving Yuuki a pain pill, and telling her to sleep it off, he headed to his office.
When he came home later that day, he found Yuuki sitting at the dinner table doing her homework.
"Ah, Yuuki-chan, I'm so glad you're feeling better!" Kaien cried, going over to hug her.
"Gichou, would you mind if you don't mind, I'd like to go to Yori-chan's house, please."
Kaien was puzzled for a minute. "Why?"
Yuuki's face turned red. "No reason, now can we please just go?"
He shrugged, he knew that Kaname had forbidden her to leave the house alone, so he took her to her friends house.
Yuuki knocked on Yori front door.
Yori opened the door almost immediately. "Hey, Yuuki, come on upstairs, I have everything you need already packed in a bag for you." Her friend said as she pulled her inside.
"Thank you, Yori-chan, you're a life saver," Yuuki sighed.
A few minutes later Yuuki came outside with bag slung over her shoulder.
Ah, Yuuki," her father said from where he was leaning against a tree, "Ready to go?"
She nodded. "Hai."
When they got home, Kaname was standing outside.
"Zero refused to let me inside…" He deadpanned.
Yuuki giggled. Then she hissed in pain and clutching the strap of the bag over her shoulder, she ran into the house, as she ran passed him, Kaname smelled blood, Yuuki's blood.
He nearly lost his mind-on the inside- on the outside however he remained calm, turning to the headmaster, he asked in a deceptively calm voice, "Why do I smell Yuuki's blood? And why wasn't she on duty today? Zero wouldn't tell me anything." Actually, that was an understatement, Zero had told him in no uncertain term to 'mind your own business, Kuran.' .
Suddenly, everything made perfect sense to Kaien, he had no experience with the female body.
Because he had been a vampire hunter, he had never had a chance to have a relationship, and then Yuuki came along and taking care of her had become his first priority.
"Yuuki is growing up, Kaname-kun." And he led him inside, to explain -in detail- what happened to the female body when it matured.
When he left, Kaname was very glad he was a male vampire
