Beyond Gravity: Into A Dream

As far a Lily knew, she was laying on her Star Wars themed bed, binge-watching Steven Universe on her laptop. Now let me tell you, it was her second favorite show in the whole multiverse, except for a lovely totally kid-friendly show that ended a few years back, Gravity Falls.

The brown haired 15-year-old glanced at the worn Journal: 3 on her desk, a sad smile appeared on her face as she paused the cartoon with a click of a button. She thought of the heartfelt ending speech one of the main characters of Gravity Falls, Dipper Pines, gave. Lily could recite it by heart, from being the largest nerd about the show.

'If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps and most people have never heard of it. Some people think It's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Take a trip. Find it. It's out there, somewhere in the woods… Waiting.' And that's exactly what she planned to do when she was older, even though she knew the trouble to get there would probably be useless in the end.

She had always believed there was more beyond earth and there was some distant multiverse that shows like Gravity Falls and Rick And Morty always talked about. Lily closed the tab that held Daily Motion, which she used to watch Steven Universe, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Gravity Falls, Rick And Morty, etc.

Honestly, the highschooler knew that it seemed stupid to be THAT big of a fan of a simple TV show that ended nearly 3 years ago by a few months. But, she would do it, maybe by being hired by NASA to study space, or just hoping that one night she would wake up being in Gravity Falls, like how she's seen in many fanfictions.

The brunette opened a new tab on her laptop and searched up her official way of escape, . Lily clicked the 'browse' button and went down to 'cartoons'. She looked down before seeing Gravity Falls and clicked with a smile.

After a few hours of browsing, she settled on a single story over 20,000 words, hiding under her blankets to read safely from her parents.

The screen gave off a blinding light as she opened the story, eyes narrowed before she could get used to the brightness. But, she also tried to turn the brightness down, no use. She sighed softly and Lily closed her eyes in defense, hearing an unmistakable laugh enter her ears.

And that's how it all started, all a person's hopes and dreams, unexpectedly coming true, but it might have a turn for the worst, who knows?

Anywho, thanks for reading! This is the first fanfic that I've uploaded, so all constructive criticism is welcomed.

Au Revoir!
