Chapter 1
I walk into the tea shop on 49th and Broadway with my book in hand; I couldn't help but think "I'm late! He won't like that."
I open the door and found the place to be crowded. I have no difficulty though finding him. All I have to look for is that infamous hat and wild hair.
I scan the shop and we lock sights. He looks up and smiles with that toothy smile. As he walks over to greet me he says hello to a few other people that I recognize from my home.
His eyes are the first thing I notice. Bright Green. The brightest I have ever seen.
"You're late you know?" he said, "Naughty." I smile.
He pulls out a chair for me at a table towards the back of the shop.
"Tea?" he says, handing me a cup. "Yes Please!"
He drops 2 cubes of sugar and some cream just the way I always liked it. I pick it up and take a sip. It is the best I had ever tasted.
"Chamomile… and Roses?"
"Yes it is something I have been working on."
"It's wonderful!" I said with a smile that could out match the Cheshire Cat. "Thank you."
