Mirror/ Mirror

For Regina this day came too fast, her wedding day to King Leopold. This day should have been the best day of her life but now it started to become her worst. Her wedding day started to become a nightmare of all nightmares. Regina had ordered out all the people out of her room who flitted and fussed over her, making her ready for her wedding day. Regina had even sent her own mother out of the room as she needed to time to finish up her make-up.

Sitting at her vanity looking into the mirror Regina tried to put on a smile that would fit a bride that was in love and mouthing the words, "I do." As fast as those words left her lips Regina broke down and started to cry again. For the umpteenth time since sending out everyone her mascara run down her face.

Cleaning the streaks of mascara off her face yet again she stiffened up, put the smile back onto her face and mouthing the words again, "I do" wishing that there couldn't be anyone else who was going to marry into a loveless marriage. As she started to mouth the words again, an image of a female appeared onto the vanity mirror.

That image did not resemble her image but was doing the same thing as she was doing. Smiling into the mirror and mouthing the words, "I do." The image in the mirror had blond hair and green eyes. As this female finished saying, "I do" Regina noticed that she also broke down and started to sob as Regina had done a minute ago.

Regina became fascinated with this blond haired female. It was like see herself minutes ago. As Regina stared into the mirror as the blond started to redo her make-up. When finished the blond stiffened up and stared into the mirror and mouthed again "I do." She slumped into the chair and spoke other words, "Regina help me. Save me from this awful loveless marriage. I love you."

This confession by this unknown blond haired, green eyed female shocked Regina. All Regina wanted was Daniel to come in and take her away from this nightmare. Daniel in Regina's eyes was her White Knight and yet this female in the mirror had asked her to be her White Knight. This confused Regina terribly. Regina stared some more into the vanity mirror at the blond haired female who confessed her love for her. Regina noticed that the blond haired female started to stiffen up again and as the image of her faded the blond mouthed, "I do" for the last time.

Regina sat, staring into the vanity mirror still very confused but that was short lived as a knock on the door interrupted her train of thought. Her mother appeared to see her daughter still sitting at the vanity. Her voice filled with irritation, "It is time to go."

Starring into the mirror before walking down the isle Regina smiled the biggest fake smile she could and mouthing the words again, "I do."
