A/N: My new story isn't working out so far, so I'm writing a Harry and Luna fic until I get some story alerts so I at least know someone's reading it :) I'm in a good mood, so there's no angst or anything... enjoy!
Disclaimer: As much as I wished I owned this, I don't :(
The Tattoo
"Harry?" Luna asked as they sat side by side in the Great Hall. "Where did you get that tattoo? Not that it's bad, I like it, but I didn't know we were allowed to get them."
"A tattoo?" Harry answered curiously.
"That's what I said, a tattoo."
"Very funny, Luna." He gave a small, non-amused laugh. "I don't have a tattoo; I think I'd remember." His comment made Luna stop smiling immediately. Her curious eyes turned almost concerned, as if she were considering the Gryffindor's sanity.
"You're serious?" she inquired. "You really don't know that you have a tattoo? On your shoulder? It's on the right side."
Harry's smile faltered, fell away, then returned. "You almost had me there. Funny, I didn't think you were the type to make jokes about tattoos."
However, Luna still wasn't smiling. "I'm really not joking, Harry! You actually have a tattoo on your right shoulder. It's shaped like a dragon; it's really very pretty."
Harry's smile vanished. "What?"
The Lovegood girl reached in her bag and pulled out a mirror. She handed it to her friend, who positioned it so he could clearly see the shoulder in question. (Why he did, he had no idea, he could've seen the mark without it.) Sure enough, there was a little silver and green dragon. Once he noticed it, it began moving; spreading it's wings, breathing fire, and trying to fly across his shoulder blades. He laughed a little, for it was kind of cute. For a moment, he forgot that he didn't know where it was from, because it was definitely a tattoo. Luckily, Luna hadn't.
"So," she began, watching the small thing. "Where did you get it?"
"Luna, I honestly don't know. It's weird, most people don't forget when they get tattoos..." he trailed off, looking around the Great Hall.
"Maybe it's magic," she suggested. "I don't know much about muggles, but I don't think their tattoos move around. Do they?"
"I don't think so. Oh well, at least it's not a unicorn or something. Dragons are manly, right? And it's silver and green, so that's cool... wait," he said, realizing who's colors those were. Slytherin. Of course, turning around, Draco Malfoy was staring at him with a smirk in his face. Harry gave an evil eye in return and turned back to Luna. "Can we just forget about it instead?"
"Sure."
A/N: So that was short, but it's a break from my usual couples :) Review please? And if you like Harry and Draco check out my story Getting Away. It'll be much longer than this. Hopefully you'll like it.
Thanks a bunch!
