She always knew about her status. Regardless, she often dreamed of love when she was alone. This love would never bear fruit, and she knew this. She and the one she loved were separated by social status. Regardless, there was one person who valued her. He valued her as her big sister. His visits to her house were frequent, and she grew attached to him in time. He offered to legitimize her so she could marry the man she loved, but she refused.

"Thanks for the thought, Lord Robert." she said, gently but firmly "But I must refuse."

"But why, big sis Mya?" he asked "You were nice to me all these years. It's high time I did something to repay you."

"Fate is not on my side." she told him "It's not wise for you to meddle in fate."

After finishing his meal, he left, but not before giving her one last look.

The wedding, which was held the day after his visit, was luxurious to say the least. Everyone who was anyone was there. The bride and the groom seemed like a beautiful couple. Lord Robert and his mother were also there.

The bride and the groom approached them, bowing slightly

"You hurt big sister." Robert suddenly said "I may be ill, but I am not stupid. You hurt big sister. Big sister was always kind to me. She doesn't deserve this."

The groom lifted him up

"Your big sister will find someone." the groom said, smiling "If she married me, she would have been unhappy. She deserves someone who would treat her with kindness."

Robert nodded, albeit hesitantly.

Their next meeting was much later. Things have changed since then and Mya was married to a man who treated her right. Robert was still welcome in their home. This time around, though, things were different. Very different. A couple of new guests have made the castle and what surrounded it their permanent residence.

"They killed my mother." Robert announced "I believe they're planning to kill me too. They're always cordial, but I can hear them. They are planning to poison me for their own benefit, big sister Mya."

"I won't allow that to happen. The mountain is my father, and by extension yours. It will provide us with antidote." Mya promised

"I knew it." Mya growled

She and her 'little brother' had arranged to catch the perpetrators in the act. And they did.

"This is for your own benefit." his 'father' said "This will calm you down. Don't you trust your own father."

Lord Robert glared at him. Grabbing a sword that leaned against the door, he climbed onto a table and placed it on Mya's shoulder

"This is my response." he growled "I legitimize you, big sister Mya, as Mya Baratheon."

His 'father' and cousin remained speechless at those words

"Do you realize what you've done?" his 'father' chastised

"Like you poisoning me was any better." Robert shot back "And you would've succeeded, if it wasn't for big sister Mya, who brought me the antidote. This is my reward for her."

"But..."

Robert cut him off

"I've always had a hunch. A hunch that you were the same status as me. I wanted to get to the bottom of this, so I kept visiting you. Like I said, I might have been ill, but I wasn't dumb. You'll always be my big sis Mya, though.

A/N: This is the first part of the series made as a tribute to the characters that weren't that lucky, like Robert and Mya. One is a bastard and the other was being poisoned. I thought they could like and benefit each other, so I made them close. Expect more characters soonish. Next up: Shireen)
