A/N: So I found this going through the files on my computer. Wrote it about a year and a half ago, the first paragraph in Spanish class, actually! Haha. Anyway, just thought I'd give you this while I'm sufferring from the worst bout of Writer's Block I think I've ever had. So, yes, you will be getting the compantion stories to Shattered Soul eventually. I will start writing them as soon as my brain can make coherent plot lines again.

I didn't betray you, Kalin. Can't you see I was trying to help? I was trying to show you that even after all you had done, we were still friends. I would have taken the fall; I was more than willing to give myself up in your place. But they already knew it was you. Now you wouldn't believe what I have to say even if I had the chance to explain because of what you think you saw.

But your eyes deceived you, Kalin.

Do you remember when Crow and Jack walked away? They left, but I stayed; I could have left with them, Kalin, but I didn't. I stayed by your side and kept fighting. But attacking Sector Security? That was going way too far! I had no choice but to leave, hoping you wouldn't go after them if you were left to go at it on your own.

But you did anyway. You wanted to be free from under them, and who could blame you? Even after you murdered one of the officers, I still came back to help you. I went down in your place, told them I was the leader and the one to blame. They didn't believe me, Kalin, but I wish you would have when I tried to tell you what happened before they hauled you off. What you viewed as them thanking me was really them saying, "Nice try." They already knew I wasn't whom they were searching for.

They already knew.

I couldn't stop them from dragging you off to the Facility; at least believe me when I say that I wish I could have. It pained me more than you could ever imagine seeing you hauled off that way.

You're my friend, Kalin; that much hasn't changed a bit. And as your friend, please believe me when I say I would never betray you!

HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME, YUSEI? ! ? ! ? Tell me HOW? ! ? ! ? ! I thought you were my friend!

I guess I should have known better than to think you would take my place. I should have known not to trust your word the moment you walked away. Tell me, Yusei: You enjoyed ratting me out, didn't you? You may have stayed when Crow and Jack walked away, but it was only a matter of time before you would dessert me as well.

I should have known better than to trust you!

You have no idea what they've done to me here, Yusei! I've been pushed around, beat around, and marked. But the worst of it is that they took my deck! I could endure the rest if only they hadn't confiscated my cards!

And it's all thanks to YOU, Yusei! You're a traitor! ...But one day I'll get my revenge. I don't know how, I don't know when, but I will get you back for what you've done!

And that's a PROMISE!

It wasn't supposed to be like this, Yusei! I just wanted to have control of Satellite, to not have to worry about being pushed around anymore! Taking out Security was simply part to of that! But somehow it all backfired on us... Somehow all my plans went awry...
