Author's Note: Alright. This is my first fanfiction, I thought it turned out pretty well. This takes place in the seventh book right after Harry went to the forest and was claimed dead.

There she was, Lucy Heart. The one girl who never spoke up, yet was a Gryffindor through and through. The one girl who sat in the back of the classroom, yet payed attention anyway. The one girl who had amazing abilities, even by wizarding standards, yet never bothered to show it. The one girl whose only companion was the library, yet never had to study. The one girl who knew everyone's name, yet had no friends. The one girl who knew all the answers, yet never raised her hand. The one girl who was openly taunting Lord Voldemort.
"I may not have any friends, just acquaintances. I may not speak up at any given chance. My only companions may be the fictional characters that live in the library in which I reside both day and night. But I am a Gryffindor, and you will lose. I may not kill you personally, but going up against Hogwarts as a whole, you will lose. Even if Harry Potter is dead, which I still refuse to believe, Hogwarts will defeat you." She said, crossing her arms and fixing the Dark Lord with a steely glare.
She turned to the people who had never given her a second glance. The people who disregarded her as not being important. Even though she knew every single one of their names, they had never known her's. With a small smile, she found George Weasley near the front of the crowd. She walked up to him, drew her wand and gently gave it to him.
"I've already lost the one person who cared." She said in a small voice, yet everyone heard her. She turned back to Lord Voldemort and continued. "Whenever you're ready Tom." She said softly. With a blinding flash of green light and a genuine smile, Lucy Heart greeted death as an old friend.
