Sorry for the writing hiatus. I'm taking a break from the Mario story for awhile, sorry. Hope you enjoy this story until I work on the Mario one again.

"This is soooo cool!" Alex said with a smile.

"Yeah, I guess so." Johnny said, "I've been on these all my life."

"Lucky. I've always wanted to ride on an airplane." Alex replied.

Alex didn't have a lot of money. His dad didn't have a steady paycheck, so money was tight in his family. He was a little too tall for the age of 17, and not very athletic either, meaning he wasn't too popular.

Johnny was another case. Good looking, popular in high school, and great with the ladies. His dad owned a large auto part company and was rather wealthy. Johnny taking his friends across the world on his private plane was no big deal big deal to him.

At that moment Matt walked out of the bathroom of the airplane. Matt was average height, skinny, and blond. He was Johnny's right hand man an always tried to be as popular as him, but usually failing and remaining Johnny's shadow.

"Man, I hate airplanes." Matt murmured.

They'd all been best friends since 1st grade, despite their differences. They were all on an around-the-world airplane ride on Johnny's private plane, and were currently flying over Berlin, Germany.

Alex looked out the window of the plane and surveyed the countryside. What he saw shocked him.

"Um, why is the town on fire?" He asked, clearly shaken.

Johnny shoved him out of the way and looked out the same window. "Whoa, this is unreal." He muttered to himself, unbelievingly.

Matt decided he didn't want to look, believing his friends were punking him.

All of a sudden, the plane rocked back and forth as an explosion seemed to hit the ship.

"What's going on?" Matt yelled.

Johnny looked outside the plane again and noticed one of the engines was smoking. "You don't want to know!"

The plane started to shake even more as another explosion rocked the ship, from the other side. The engine Johnny had observed has also caught fire.

"I think we're going down!" Alex screamed, terrified.

Kraaaaaaaash!

The sound of the crash could be heard from miles around.
