Disclaimer: No I don't own South Park or any of its characters… but I do love them!

Stan sighed deeply as he sat down on the two-seater couch. Kyle was trying to get the DVD-player and TV connected. "Kyle, the red one goes in input" Stan tries, but he regrets it as soon as he says it. His best friend's head pops up from behind the TV-stand and he glares at him, "Will you let me do this, please!?" he snaps. The teen had been busy with rearranging Stan's home theater system since seven that morning. Right now it was nearing four 'o clock. All the cables that had been correctly set up was promptly pulled from their place right before Kyle had begun. This made things considerably more difficult since, all they really had to do is just add one extra cable to the 'input' opening on the TV…

"Holy shit, dude. How long are you going to take?" Stan asks as he tries to switch on the TV. Great. Now even the TV isn't working! "Stan, I swear, if you say one more word I'm going to kill you!" Kyle says angrily. Stan sees Kyle's one leg emerge from behind the stand and stretch heartedly. "I can take over, if you want" Stan suggests softly, trying to placate his friend and smiles sweetly. With a groan his best friend stands up and rolls his shoulders to loosen the tension, "I've got it, damnit! I'll be back… just want to get some coke" he says and heads to Stan's kitchen.

Just as Kyle leaves the room, Stan jumps into action. He all but dives behind the stand and assesses his friend's work. Kyle has most of the connections correct. Stan quickly rearranges the faulty ones, connects the DVD-player correctly to the TV. He quickly did a once-over to this work and leaves only the one AVI-cable of the player unplugged. In the kitchen he can still hear Kyle cursing to himself. Stan gets up and makes his way back to the couch, propping his head on his hand. After a few minutes Kyle walks in, stiffly, and makes his way to the area behind the stand.

Stan sees the slight jerk in Kyle's shoulders. He knows exactly what Kyle's hazy mind is thinking. He knew Kyle would be asking himself if he had already finished it so far, if he really only had a single cable to reconnect and if he wasn't just hallucinating… and Stan knew how to get his friend to stop asking himself questions and just go for it, "Would you move your ass, the popcorn is getting stale" Stan says, doing an impressive job of keeping his reactions neutral but the appropriate proportion of annoyed. Stan watches as his best friend leans forwards, connects the cable and reemerges from behind the stand, "Done" he said.

Stan nodded, gets up and sets up the DVD so they could watch. Kyle sinks into the chair next to Stan, grabs the popcorn off of the coffee table and slowly starts eating them one by one. When Stan sits back down on his place he playfully elbows his friend, "Thanks, dude. You're awesome" he says with a grin. The movie starts with a loud crash and soon they get into the scare-the-shit-out-of-you-literally mode of the movie. Only, halfway through Kyle sighs before glancing at Stan, "You reconnected them… didn't you?" he says with a gloomy voice. Stan snorts, "As if… If I can't even connect my X-box, how can I do this?" he retorted convincingly. Kyle smiles to himself, feeling better and more relaxed. 'That's what best friends do' Stan thought to himself and hides his growing smile with a handful of popcorn.
