"I'm telling you, Mick, he's fucking scared of me! " Baron Corbin screamed into Hall of Famer, Mick Foley's face. Baron's match against Kalisto at the biggest event of the summer, Summerslam, had just been canceled. Kalisto claimed he
was injured and could not possibly compete. A story Baron was not buying.
For any price.
"Come on, Mick, wake the hell up! He got that doctor to say he was hurt so he wouldn't have to face me! He knows my whole family is here and he's pissed off cause I called him out on costing me the Intercontinental title shotlast week! You
don't see this?" Barons demeanor was becoming more aggressive, something Mick knew he did not have to tolerate given his stature and position in the company. However, he knew this would be Barons reaction to the news. He admired that
quality in the newest Smackdown Live superstar.
"Mick, Baron sighed, slapping both his massive handsdown onto his equally huge thighs, "I'm here to make money. Every match I'm not in is money I don't earn. Now I want you to get me someone to fight tonight! "
Mick had to stand his ground. Notonly to show Baron Corbin and all the other superstars that his word was gospel, but also to prove to his boss, Stephanie McMahon, that she had chosen the right person to run the show by her side.
No way was he screwing this up by giving in to Corbin's demand of a new opponent.
"Baron, your match is canceled." Mick began, as he stepped closer into Barons scowling face. "And if you ever come at me like that again, you'll never get so much as a sniff of a championship opportunity in this business, got me?" Mick concluded,
with a stern look.
"I got it, Mick."
You did not want to be within 10 feet of the ensuing stare down.
