Tumbleweeds

"Sensei, we've been training really hard and we've been at peace for months. Can we please have a vacation?" Kai complained after a long, hot day of extensive training.

"Yes, I believe you do deserve a vacation." Sensei Wu agreed. Inside he wanted a day off as well but when you're a trainer of the protectors of the world then your vacation days are limited.

When the other Ninja gathered around for their little meeting, they each had mixed opinions of where they'd like to go. Jay voted World of Fun or the Great Wolf Lodge. Kai voted volcano sightseeing. Zane preferred skiing rather than a volcano since he didn't want his HDD to overheat. Cole's opinion was rock climbing but he figured he was overruled. Lloyd was with Jay on his choices. It was up to Sensei to decide which he wanted.

"I vote….skiing. Cold weather sharpens a distracted mind. Plus I haven't hit the slopes since when I started getting a beard."

In the end all were content. Nya researched and found the resort that was a snowed over volcano so Kai was content. Jay and Lloyd got their Jacuzzi. Cole got his mountain and climbing. And of course Zane got his skiing.

Later, at the resort….

"Race ya'! Cole shouted to Kai.

"You're on!" Kai shouted back before sliding his goggles on.

They snowboarded down the mountain and it was a close race. Right as Kai was getting ahead Cole hit a piece of ice and fell forward. As he tumbled he slammed into Kai and they toppled together. Kai stopped when he hit a tree and Cole rolled until he reached the end not too far from where Kai was. He began to hike back to where Kai was.

When Cole arrived her found Kai wrapped around a tree and unconscious.

"JAY! ZANE! LLOYD! COME QUICK!" Cole called up the mountainside and the others slid down as fast as they could.

"I don't think people are supposed to look like that." Lloyd commented before Cole and Jay began to move Kai.

"AAAH!" Jay shrieked as the sight of discolored snow.

They quickly flipped Kai around to find blood trickling down the side of his mouth and leaking from some place on his body.

"Is he-" Lloyd began.

"Yes, I believe the tree fatally wounded him. Judging by the displacement of his spine and the blood from his mouth he died on or after impact." Zane said sadly. Lloyd turned away, sick to his stomach.

"I'm so sorry buddy, I guess every flame gets extinguished. Too bad it was me who had to do so." Cole cried as he watched Kai lying dead in the snow.

I do have something against Kai but I wouldn't be this brutal. Well since I wrote I guess so but it's my sister's fault, she started it with the Kill Jay fic and people kill him way too much. Kill someone else for once! And so the conspiracy begins.
