Chapter 1:
Ward woke up to his alarm at 4:00am. He liked being the first up (besides May who is always up first, like seriously does she ever sleep?) he could take as long as he needed in the shower. He grabbed a towel and made his way to the washroom. Turning on the shower as hot as it will go he feels the hot water droplets making their way down his smooth skin. Ward has always loved to sing… but only in the shower where he is sure no one else can hear him. Little did he know there was a sneaky rookie in the next room over. He starts to sing the song that has been stuck in his head.
"I used to spend my nights out in a barroom. Liquor was the only love I've known. But you rescued me from reachin' for the bottom. And brought me back from being too far gone"
Skye just so happened to be lurking outside if the washroom hearing every word he sang. Gaping she leans in to hear more. 'I didn't know Ward could sing!' she thought to herself.
Ward continues onto the next verse.
"You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey You're as sweet as strawberry wine You're as warm as a glass of brandy And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time"
Once he ended the song, he turned the shower off and began to towel off. He wrapped the towel around his waste not thinking if anyone might be out there. He especially didn't expect to open the washroom door to his astonished rookie who was still trying to get over the fact that her S.O could sing better then Chris Stapleton himself. Ward looks down at her. 'oh no, she heard me' he thought, bracing himself for the endless months of taunting her was going to receive from the young hacker.
"Hi" He said.
"humh" she said in a breathy reply.
"Can I help you with something?" he asked trying to play it off smooth.
"umm, ther- was… was that you?"
"Nope, I just happened to have a dying walrus stashed in the washroom" he said sarcastically.
"Um, Ward…" 'oh no here comes the taunting'
"I don't know what you heard, but I heard something that might be the only thing that would make Thor sexier than he already is."
"And what would that be?" He asked
"Your voice! Do you even hear yourself sing that was crazy amazing!"
he gives her a confused look.
"Ward, you really don't know how gifted you are do you?"
The only thing her could manage to say was
"uhhmm"
"Oh my god Ward! do you not see how freaking awesome that was!?"
he was about to make some snarky comment about how she heard him singing and didn't see it, but changed his mind.
"No, I don't see how "awesome' that was. I'm not very good Skye."
"NOT GOOD!" She yells
"shhh Skye you'll wake the whole bus!" he shushes her.
"GOOD!" She screams "I WANT THEM TO SEE HOW GOOD YOU ARE!" she continues yelling until everyone was gathered near the washroom and Ward was as red as a tomato.
"You'd better have a good reason for waking all of us up Skye"
"of course I do AC sir" She grins "Show them Ward… Now."
"I'm good, I would actually just like to go get dressed now."
" GRANT DOUGLAS WARD YOU SHOW THEM NOW" Skye roars at him.
"show us what?" asks May clearly annoyed.
"Ward…" Skye warned
"FINE! GEEZ IT'S NO BIG DEAL" Skye smiles wide and waits for him to start.

"Liquor was the only love I've known But you rescued me from reachin' for the bottom And brought me back from being too far gone… There happy!?" he glares at Skye while the rest of the team gapes at him. He then stomped off down the hall and slams his bunk door shut.
