AN: Inspired by a writing prompt.
She had always been intelligent and sharp, despite her seemingly childish and bubbly nature. She knew powerful rituals and charms, mastered so many spells and incantations, and had a high level of precision and control in her magic that would make any spellcaster green with envy. She had been a skilled apprentice under the most powerful spellcaster. She later became one of the most distinguished and powerful priests in her kingdom. She put terrifying in pink. She was amazing, and she knew it.
Sadly, her amazing skills did not translate to her diplomacy skills. Being polite, controlling her expressions, weighing the words coming out from her mouth—she couldn't do that for long periods of time. Tactfulness had never been her strong point. She was bound to say something rude, intentional or not. Playing nice with kingdoms, or tribes, or clans, or whatever, that was more for a king's job. Her friend's job, or what used to be her friend's job anyways.
(she still misses him so much that it hurts, the many years that passed did not abate the pain in the slightest)
It had only been a few days that she had arrived in this realm and she already feels like the little girl who would often get in trouble because of her mishaps. But unlike those times, there isn't someone to share the blame, nor was there someone to undo her work.
(she misses both of them dearly, will she ever find her master at least?)
"Sooooooooo," a voice drawled lazily, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She sighed, turning to see a blond man smirking at her. Golden eyes shining with laughter. It was amazing how obnoxiously annoying he could be by just being there. "How's finding your teacher going?"
"Fine, until you and your ugly green helmet appeared," she grumbled uncharacteristically, resisting the urge to pull her hair in frustration. "Why is it so hard to find someone dressed in all violet?"
"I don't know, why is it so easy to start a war between a clan of vampires and a court of fairies?" he retaliated.
"I will hex you."
"In two days, I might add," he continued. "That's impressive, very impressive."
She brought up her staff threateningly, pink sparks crackling around it.
"Tell me your secret."
The air smelled like thunder, smoke, and strawberries.
"Look at the bright side," he said cheerfully, unfazed by the glowing pink ball of energy near his face. "With all this chaos, you'll attract a lot of the monsters! Maybe even your teacher! He's wearing purple, right?"
She wondered why her first friend in this realm was an obnoxious and irritating elf.
