The forecast for that day had predicted that it was supposed to be warmer than it had been for the past few days, and because of this Masako had dressed lighter than usual. But unfortunately the forecast had predicted wrong so there she was, sitting outside on the porch of the house which she and Yasuhara were told was the house they were supposed to be investigating.
They were sitting outside because Naru and the others had not arrived yet, and they were taken there by taxi. A shiver went through Masako as she sat on the steps and huddled her knees closer to herself. How much longer were they going to be?
"Are you cold?" Yasuhara asked the dark haired beauty as another shiver went through her body.
"…" Masako looked up at the older teen then looked away from him, slightly embarrassed. "Yes, just a little." She answered him in a soft tone. She then really wished that she would've dressed warmer. She didn't want the fact that she was actually very cold to be known. It was like having a weakness exposed.
"Seems like you're more than just a little cold, here I'll let you borrow my jacket." Yasuhara said as he began to shrug his coat down off his shoulders.
The dark haired medium's head snapped over to the direction of the boy and she shook her head. "Oh no, please really I'm fine." She answered him as she tried to nicely decline him.
"No, it's alright. Besides we can't have you getting sick now can we." Masako could now feel the weight of the jacket fall on her shoulders and then wrap around her small form. This made her continue to protest.
"But what if you get sick? You wouldn't be of any use." She said with a condescending tone, in which she'd hope make him angry so he'd take his jacket back.
But sadly the boy only laughed and scratched the back of his head as he sat down next to her. "I guess that's true huh? Better you than me though, you're the one who can see spirits after all." He countered before changing the subject. "I hope they get here soon. I'd really hate to wait out here all night." He said boredly.
Masako didn't say a word in response to his words. She was feeling a bit guilty that he was letting her borrow his jacket, but yet she was thankful for his kindness. The girl tugged the jacket around her a little tighter and let it warm her as her eyes stayed glued to the stairs below her.
So I took this down for a bit because, well I thought I was going to write more but I didn't. This is just a drabble, thus why it's cut off like it is. I'm sorry. :(
This is a drabble from my tumblr where I have a Masako Hara blog. So it's posted on there too. If you want the link to my Masako Hara blog feel free to check it out.
If I get more drabbles, or decide to do more in general for Masako I will put them as chapters here. :)
Review, hoped you liked it because I'm still getting used to Masako's character. lol!
