This chapter is going to be super short because it's just to get the story going. All the future chapters will be much longer. Also I had to type this on my phone so the formatting might be a bit off I will fix it as soon as I can.
He arrived in time, barely. Only one minute to spare before 5:00. Having to take a longer detour home was no help when it came to his curfew. If that single street hadn't been under construction he would have been home and hour earlier, and he wouldn't have had to run.
When he stepped inside the house was completely silent. He didn't know where anyone was, but he didn't care. They had a life of their own and he had his. The window shook as the door slammed shut. Pony tossed his bag to the side and flopped down onto the old couch. His body ached from running, and he groaned when he realized he ran for no reason. Nobody was even home.
As soon as he was comfortable the phone rang. Ponyboy looked at the phone wearily. He figured whoever was calling could wait, they probably wanted Darry rather than him anyway. As soon as the last ring ended, and new call came in. He ignored it. And it rang once more.
"Hello?" Ponyboy asked annoyed. He had a total of 2 minutes to sit down, and he wasn't very happy about that.
"Truth or dare?" A little girls voice spoke in a sing song manor.
"What?"
"I said truth or dare. It's a game. Will you play with me?" the little girl whined.
He was confused with this little girl's request. Who calls a random person asking to play truth or dare? After a second though he realized how much sense it actually did make. Ponyboy has seen the families over on the east side. A little girl wanting somebody to play with wasn't totally weird.
"Truth."
"What's your name?" The girl asked.
Ponyboy chuckled. It was nice hearing an innocent truth or dare question. It was a lot better than the teens questions of "who was the last person you hooked up with" and " who in the room is the sexiest."
"Michael," he lied. He figured his middle name was a more believable name than Ponyboy. Plus it would embarrassing to be teased by a little girl.
"You're a liar. You have one more chance. What. Is. your. Name. "
"It's uh Ponyboy," he answered. It was beyond him how the girl knows he was lying.
"Next time you lie to me you will regret it," the girl promised before the line went dead.
Once again, sorry for the short chapter and any weird formatting. This story will actually have some suggestions I need from you guys. So if you have any dares or truths that Ponyboy should have please pm it to me or leave it in a review. To start this off I need pretty basic dares but as the story continues I will need more extreme ones. Thanks for reading, and don't forget to favorite or follow the story if you like it so far.
